  1. Saint Edward's School has grown and prospered as one of the best Florida independent schools since its founding in 1965 as a day school for students seeking a superior college-preparatory education. Enrolling students in preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels, today, we serve approximately 600 students in pre-k through grade 12. Saint Edward's School is a community and culture that promotes lifelong learning by developing critical thinking, collaboration, and thorough preparation for college and the future. Founded upon the Episcopal tradition, the focus is on the whole child, led by a strong faculty who work to help all students reach their full potential in the classroom and beyond. Saint Edward's School does not discriminate based on age, religion, sexual orientation, gender, race, color, physical disability, gender identity, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational programs, hiring policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school-administered programs. Centered on a love for children, advocacy is an environment of mutually supportive and respectful relationships. As advocates in a compassionate community, we are purposefully committed to nurturing and championing each other and bringing out the best in each individual. It is a way of life! Saint Edward's students benefit from intense faculty involvement and superb teaching faculty in small classes. Our expectations for student achievement are high, and students rise to the occasion. Saint Edward's students begin college counseling with experienced counselors during the 8th grade. Better than 90% of the graduating class is accepted into their college or university of first or second choice. Our SAT scores are well above state and national averages and are the highest achieved on the Treasure Coast. In keeping with our independent Episcopal School tradition, Saint Edward's emphasizes developing moral and spiritual character and good citizenship. Our unique learning location on the Indian River Lagoon waterfront is a safe and beautiful environment. Our modern campus facilities include science labs at every level, modern classrooms, athletic fields, an aquatics complex, music, fine arts studios, two libraries, an Academic Learning Lab for academic support services, and an 800-seat performing arts center. The curriculum fosters critical thinking, writing, reading, listening, presentation, scientific and quantitative skills, leadership, community service, organizational, and study skills. Our students are taught to do what is right, not necessarily what is popular or convenient. Through their leadership and passion for education, we have become one of the best Florida schools. Our students develop the confidence to stand up for what they believe in and use everyday situations to examine and express their spirituality. As a result of this focus, we believe our students gain balance, conviction, compassion, and integrity attributes that will serve them well in college, careers, and leading successful lives. As one of the best Florida schools for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, Saint Edward's nurtures and develops the "whole student" by identifying each student's strengths and encouraging them to pursue their interests and intellectual curiosities. Through enrichment classes, clubs, and athletics, students explore areas outside of the curriculum and learn new skills. We believe that this comprehensive approach helps our children grow into adults with exceptional analytical skills, poised to balance life demands, and make informed decisions.
  2. We are intellectuals with big hearts, as passionate about learning as we are about changing the world. We are an international community with a Catholic heritage and students (and faculty) from all faiths, nations, and all walks of life. Our identity is shaped by our location in Austin, Texas, and strengthened by our partner universities worldwide. Who we are is rooted in where we come from. Our founders, the Congregation of Holy Cross, have been educating diverse students to think critically, act ethically, and strive for social justice since the 1830s. Now it is our turn. The people of St. Edward's do remarkable things — alumni help students land life-changing internships, students and faculty members collaborate on mind-blowing research, and the whole community contributes thousands of community service hours each year. And that is just a broad overview. St. Edward's University is an independent Catholic university that welcomes qualified students of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs and serves a culturally diverse student body. The university's undergraduate programs achieve a balance among the humanities, the sciences, and the professions. These programs seek to make graduates competent in a chosen discipline, help them understand and appreciate other disciplines' contributions, and prepare them to further their life goals. Graduate and professional development programs enhance students' knowledge and skills to prepare them to take advantage of more challenging employment opportunities. Graduates in all programs should be prepared to analyze problems, propose solutions, and make responsible decisions through training in critical and creative thinking and moral reasoning. They should be able to express themselves articulately in both oral and written form. They are encouraged to understand the human person that is derived from reason and open to faith. The university promotes excellence in teaching and learning in an environment that encompasses innovative pedagogy in the curriculum and co-curricular and engagement with the broader community. A caring faculty and staff, recognizing that learning is a lifelong process, teach the skills needed to be independent and productive. They encourage individuals to confront the critical issues of society and to seek justice and peace. Students are helped to understand themselves, clarify their values, and recognize their responsibility to the world community. The university gives an example of its commitment to service. St. Edward's was founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross. It acquired distinguishing characteristics: the courage to take risks, an international perspective, and the commitment to provide educational opportunities for students of varied cultural, religious, educational, and economic backgrounds. St. Edward's expresses its Catholic identity by communicating the dignity of the human person as created in God's image, by stressing the obligation of all people to pursue a more just world, and by providing opportunities for religious studies and participation in campus ministry. St. Edward's seeks to provide an environment in which freely chosen beliefs can be deepened and expressed. At St. Edward's University, a top liberal arts college, you will learn to think about the world in new ways. You will have to work hard, but you will get more out of your education. And that is the point. A liberal arts education means gaining a well-rounded background and set of skills that you can apply no matter where your career takes you (no matter if that is a straight path or a winding road). Yes, you will specialize in a field, but you will study other fields as well. Scientists learn to write well; artists master the scientific method, and everyone graduates ready to tackle the most complicated problems — whether you want to save the world or get ahead in your dream career (or both). We're seeking students who question everything, who are led by curiosity and compassion. And we'd like to get to know you, not as a numbered application (though you'll have to turn in one of those!) but as an individual. At St. Edward's, students are part of a growing and diverse learning community that prepares them to succeed in our ever-changing world. A St. Edward's education adds up to a strong return on investment and great value for your educational dollar. Student Financial Services is dedicated to helping you develop a college financing plan that meets your needs. From the day you apply for admission to the day you graduate, your financial advisor will be there to help guide you through the financial assistance process. Student Financial Services assists future students applying for assistance for the first time, current students renewing their assistance applications, and parents are interested in their child's education. Your college transcript may be a record of where and what you study over four years. But it does not begin to tell the complete story of all you learn and experience as a student in our international campus community. At St. Edward's, you will find it easy to move between living, learning, and making a difference, with each experience opening doors to new friendships, new interests, and discovering what you stand for.
  3. King Edward’s is an independent boarding and day school for girls and boys aged 11 -18. We are a school with a rich, historical legacy that runs nearly 500 years to today, which is welcoming and warm, has a friendliness, a sense of community and belonging. It is a school with a commitment and dedication to the care and the progress of the pupils we look after. We are a small school, yet our local pupils can make friends from across the world, from over 40 countries, all here to have a wonderful, British education. We believe there is a richness in learning in a broad social, cultural and academic environment, where it is important that every pupil can flourish, where they can learn to be themselves their best version. What better preparation for the global world in which we live. The opportunities, inside and outside the classroom, are wide-ranging to ensure there is something for everyone, providing academic success, where talents are discovered and true personalities flourish. We believe we are all part of the same story where we, staff, pupils, and parents, work together to have ideas, to work alongside our children in a supportive way but at the end of the day, give the children the teachings, knowledge, experiences, and guidance so they can write their own story – it is their show, their performance, their work. That is the journey we are on for the short time they are in our care. Our unique heritage and place among British co-educational independent schools mean that we can provide the best preparation for adult life to a wider range of young people than almost any other institution. King Edward’s creates a foundation for life both here and now and for the future. Our timeless education reaches far beyond the exciting and challenging academic curriculum and the broad range of opportunities in all areas of school life – sporting, artistic, social, and cultural. We aim to inspire a love of independent learning, a wealth of lasting friendships, Christian values, and a hopeful vision.
  4. King Edward’s School, an HMC independent day school for boys aged 11-18 founded in 1552. King Edward’s School has been at the heart of Birmingham's life since it was founded in 1552. As the city grew so did the success of the School and for over a century it has been one of the country’s leading schools the school of Burne-Jones and Tolkien, Nobel Prizewinners Wilkins and Vane, Field Marshal Slim, Bill Oddie, Jonathan Coe, and Lee Child. Today it provides an exceptional education that is rich and varied where boys excel academically and develop the qualities to succeed. Based in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, the School shares a 50-acre site with King Edward VI High School for Girls, which provides extensive space and facilities matched by few-day schools in the country. King Edward’s School is a boys’ day school with around 850 pupils aged from 11 to 18. The majority of our pupils join at age 11 and continue through until they are 18 but a few boys join us at 13 and around 10 boys join the Sixth Form. A King Edward’s education is both academically challenging and intellectually exciting. Boys enjoy considerable academic success and, as an IB World School, our pupils are prepared for a global future. The individual boy is paramount and there is great respect for, and celebration of, variety and difference. Our teaching staff are passionate about their subjects and support each boy to succeed to the best of his abilities, helping him grow and develop in the best way for him. The School offers a rich and vibrant educational experience and we want boys to come here that not only love to learn but want to take part in all of the opportunities that the School provides. The substantial extra-curricular program and extensive opportunities to participate in sport and the performing arts means that each boy can find something to enrich his life and breed the courage, relationships, and resilience that he will need to take on the challenges of the world. The world is changing at a dizzying pace and, when their time comes, our boys will be doing jobs that do not exist yet. They will be working with people from all parts of the globe and dealing with a climate of ever-increasing uncertainty. To thrive in such testing conditions, we need to give them a grounding that runs both broad and deep. They need to understand how to get the best out of themselves – and other people – and learn how to work collaboratively to solve ever more complex problems. They need to learn how to manage risk and build the resilience to overcome obstacles. Above all, we want them to be curious about the world they live in and to find a happy and well-balanced life for themselves within it. Building on centuries of tradition and innovation, we are entering a new phase of strategic planning to ensure that King Edward’s maintains its position as a leading academic school both regionally and nationally. We intend to think beyond our recent achievements to create a unique education for the mid-21st century. Our purpose to educate and inspire boys from our region so that they can take on the challenges of the world and lead lives of significant contribution and fulfillment. Our promise to inspire our boys to achieve more than they imagined possible through the quality of the ethos, learning, and care we provide. Our vision a school at the forefront of international education, enabling bright boys from any background to become inspirational young men for Birmingham and the world.

  6. St. Edward's is a Catholic Voluntary Aided Primary School, which has served the Parish of Our Lady of Compassion, Upton Park since 1902. Initially, the school was located in Castle Street and suffered major damage during World War 2, which resulted in the school being rebuilt in 1949. The school was again relocated in September 2000 to the present site in Green Street, as part of West Ham United Football Club's Redevelopment Programme. St. Edward's Nursery opened in April 2001. Children between the ages of 3 to 11 years now attend this new two-form entry school. We are a two-form entry Voluntary Aided Catholic school for children aged 3 to 11, situated on Green Street in the diverse community of East London. St Edward’s was also designated as a National Teaching School in March 2013. All staff is dedicated to the welfare and education of those who attend St Edward’s. The staff work closely as a team and are well supported by the Governing Body. All staff work to support the Schools ‘Vision & Values’, which are integrated into the ethos of the school. Vibrant, diverse, and charismatic, St Edward’s shares a vision of individuals who exceed expectations and enjoy education. At St Edward's we value: Individuality and equality. Perseverance and excellence. Diversity and harmony. Tradition and innovation. Independence and alliance. Unity and community. Pupils undergo teacher assessments on a termly basis across the curriculum, as well as using PIRA and PUMA tests for Reading, GPS, and Maths. For Writing children are assessed every 6 weeks following the BIG Writing assessment criteria, and for Yr 2 and Yr 6 using the assessment interims. Yr 6 also practices past SAT papers throughout the year. Reports on children’s progress are given out regularly at Parent Consultation Evenings and an annual report is sent out at the end of each academic year. Results from National Tests are published each year. The school and parish maintain our sense of community by giving strength and support to each other. Members of the parish nurture our pupils by running Sacramental preparation Classes. In addition, links are formed through joint worship and also through social events. Pupils attend Mass, with the Parish on a rota basis each Tuesday, and school Mass is held at the start and the end of each term. Holidays of Obligation are also celebrated by attending Mass with the Parish. At St Edward’s, we actively model and promote democracy within our school, and this is achieved in a variety of ways, to ensure that our pupils are equipped to fulfill their responsibilities as citizens of a democracy and develop an application to value to how lucky they are living in a democratic society. At St Edward’s, we actively model and promote the rule of law within our school, and this is achieved in a variety of ways, to ensure that our pupils comprehend why rules and laws are necessary for their classes and our school and across society as a whole. At St Edward’s, we actively model and promote individual liberty, by providing opportunities for pupils to become positive and emotionally resilient with the knowledge and confidence to stand by their convictions, whilst also respecting others. Through our provision of a safe learning environment, which enables us to educate and provide boundaries for young pupils to make choices safely. Our pupils are encouraged to understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and learn how they can do so safely, during E-Safety and Circle Time sessions. We at St Edward’s, are a multicultural school, united by our Catholic faith. We actively model and promote the Tolerance of those of Different Faiths and Beliefs by providing opportunities to learn about other cultures, as we appreciate British traditions and customs, through the themed assembly. Assemblies and discussions involving prejudices and prejudice-based bullying have been further developed by supported learning in Black History Month, Geography, RE, and PSHE and promote global citizenship. Members of different faiths or religions are encouraged to share their knowledge and experiences to enhance learning within classes and the school. In our annual International Week, we celebrate the cultural diversity of our school community. We value the diverse ethnic backgrounds of all pupils and families and undertake a variety of events and lessons to celebrate these.
  7. The time we spend in education is extremely formative these are the years that shape the mind, the heart, and the personality. The formation of young people who have the virtues of character to become leaders in the adult world is at the top of our agenda. Leadership is simply ‘making good things happen. So everything which goes on at St Edward’s, in the classroom, on the sports field, in the recital room, on an outward bound expedition, is focused upon helping young men and women become equipped with the radical vision, robust qualifications, and strength of character, to change the world for the better as they live out discipleship of Jesus Christ, being ‘men and women for others. Herein lies the meaning of our school motto, ‘Courage through Faith’. St Edward’s College is a Catholic academy (an independent school funded directly by the government, so free of charge to attend), part of the Edmund Rice family of schools, founded by the Christian Brothers and following the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice. The College selects 20% of its pupils based on musical aptitude and is the choir school to Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, many of its pupils are involved in leading choral worship there week by week. The remaining places are allocated according to our admissions policy to young people of all abilities who want to experience a traditional, academic curriculum within explicitly Catholic culture. In short, St Edward’s College is a highly successful school in which young people are challenged and supported in equal measure. With excellent examination results and very high standards in music and sport, it is one of the foremost Catholic schools in England. As a Christian community, St Edward's College aims to: Promote an atmosphere in which all members of the community feel comfortable, are free to develop their interests, and can appreciate the values of kindness, honesty, and service to others. Affirm, nurture and seek to develop the faith and spiritual growth of its members and to encourage individuals to participate in the life of the Church. Provide a broad and challenging education and a stimulating environment in which individuals are encouraged to fulfill their potential, value the talents of others, and live life to the full. Assist individuals to recognize how Catholic faith and teaching can be applied to their lives, thereby helping them to recognize the dignity and uniqueness of each person. Promote an active partnership between school and home. Seek to be a vital and integral part of the local and wider communities. St Edward's College has long prided itself upon having a culture of ambition and aspiration. We want to inspire and support young people to become the very best they can, to think big, and aim high. We look for a strong commitment to hard work from our pupils, so that they approach each day well prepared, ready to learn, and engage. The most exciting phase of secondary education is the Sixth Form. Here young people make a journey from dependence to independence, are most able to discover and develop their particular interests, passions, and personality. It is the time when, as the senior students, they take a leading role within the school community, and as fellow adults enjoy a more mature relationship with their teachers and with one another. The St Edward’s Sixth Form College provides both challenge and nurture for students at this crucial time in their intellectual and personal formation. Our long, proud history of intellectual endeavor and high achievement, our very strong sense of community and solidarity, our commitment to Catholic faith and values - all this provides a uniquely stimulating Sixth Form journey.
  8. Underlying everything at Teddies is our mission to prepare our pupils for the rest of their lives by encouraging their passions and talents, enabling them to discover new ones, and supporting them to achieve their potential. Our community fizzes with diverse interests and enthusiasms, while our academic excellence means 90% of our top pupils gain the highest grades in their Sixth Form exams and take up places at the world’s best universities – a record which exceeds the outcomes of many highly selective schools. We are one of a few schools to offer both IB and A-Level alongside each other at Sixth Form, and in our Middle School Program, we have introduced new courses to stretch our candidates at GCSE level, responding directly to the very latest research into how young people learn. Teddies is a fully co-educational boarding and day school, with a wide range of pupils from around the country and 15% joining us from 40 different countries outside the UK. We offer a wide range of scholarships and bursaries. Being co-ed is important to us. Not only does it represent life beyond the school gates, but we feel it contributes to the inclusive and friendly community that brings our pupils, parents, Governors, staff, and the local community together. We reinforce this by enabling pupils to volunteer regularly in the community of north Oxford. At St Edward’s, we encourage an unremitting focus on learning. There is a tangible ethos, inspiring pupils, staff, and parents alike, that anything is possible. There is a belief within the School that everyone has something to contribute to society moreover there is a genuine conviction that each pupil can strive for excellence and has the potential to enjoy real academic success at the highest level. 10. Runnymede St Edward's is an Independent Catholic Preparatory School for boys and girls aged 3-11 years, welcoming children of all faiths. The school is built on the tradition of our founders. Based on their vision, Runnymede is a place in which individuals can develop fully, contributing as happy and caring members of a school community. Children’s unique talents are valued, and they learn to live as well-mannered, self-disciplined, and confident individuals. Located in Sandfield Park, West Derby, Liverpool, Runnymede has a long tradition of providing an outstanding all-around education. The school holds an excellent academic record and we are proud of our musical and sporting tradition. At Runnymede, we pride ourselves on taking in children of all abilities and supporting them to reach their full potential. We prepare children thoroughly for secondary school entrance exams enabling them to enter the second phase of their education with confidence. Runnymede is a family-orientated school situated in a beautiful building which creates a wonderful working environment for our children to thrive in. We are a Choir School for Liverpool Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral and take choristers from Year 4 to Year 6. Their voices can be heard every morning echoing throughout the school and playground. Our Mission Statement: "Inspire, Challenge, Support through Faith". The Runnymede curriculum is tailored to the needs of the pupils and their future aspirations. We seek to challenge, inspire and support children to perform by their abilities. While the National Curriculum is a useful starting point, our highly qualified class and subject teachers adapt and enhance their programs of study to support all children to achieve their potential. Classes are small and therefore a very individual approach can be offered to every child. In addition to the core subjects of English and Mathematics, the Runnymede syllabus includes French and Spanish, Science, Geography, Music, Religious Education, ICT, Art, Design and Technology, PE and Games, which includes swimming, rugby, football, netball, hockey, and tennis. In Year 5 and 6, the children are often placed in sets for English and Maths. In these years we also start working with children whose choice of Secondary school is dependent on an entrance exam. Being independent of any Secondary school means we can work with both children and parents to choose the secondary school that is best for the child’s ability and ongoing education. A structured reading scheme is also in operation in each class offering a variety of reading materials. Our reading program is delivered by the class teacher, supported by the child’s parents, and volunteer parents who come into our school and listen to the children read every week. From Reception onwards, children are given homework daily. Homework is very important as it supports and enhances the curriculum and develops a good work ethic. We have very strong home-school links as the school and home are in partnership, ensuring the very best for each child. We are proud that our children achieve high levels in the National Curriculum tests at the end of each key stage. At Runnymede, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom and during the year all classes will be involved in school trips. Our trips are educational and help the children get a better insight into aspects of their learning. Each year group has 3 trips a year, enriching the curriculum. For example, Stockley Farm Christmas Experience, Victorian-themed days at Styal Mill and Norton Priory, a Roman Experience at Chester, a coastal field study of Llandudno, orchestral concerts at the Philharmonic Hall for Early Years and Upper Juniors. In addition to these trips, Year 5 has a 3 day residential trip to Dobroyd Castle, Todmorden, and Year 6 has a 5 day residential trip to Patterdale, Lake District. Religious Education (R.E.) at Runnymede is based on the national scheme ‘Come and See.’ Religious Education recognizes and enables a dialogue at many levels. Three main questions are to be answered by all the children from Nursery to Year 6. At Runnymede St Edward’s School, we’re very proud of our history, which stretches back to 1852 when a Catholic Institute was founded. His statue is sited in St John’s Gardens, Liverpool, alongside St George’s Hall.

  12. View full school

  14. 20. View full school
