SISQ aims to develop learners who are fulfilled, inspired, and prepared. The Swiss International School in Qatar (SISQ) is an international private school for students from the age of 3 to 18 living in Doha. As a Swiss school, SISQ provides families with the opportunity to engage in a multilingual learning environment. That is why SISQ welcomes families of all nationalities in its learning community. International Curriculum The Swiss International School is an IB World School, authorized to deliver the Primary Years Programme (3 to 10 years old), the Middle Years Programme (11 to 15 years old), and the Diploma Programme (16 to 18 years old). As an IB World School, SISQ provides families living in Qatar with a truly international education based on an innovative and evolving curriculum for today's ever-changing world. The IB curriculum is taught in more than 5000 schools around the world and is known for its innovative approach and focus on educating the whole child. Our Students SISQ opened its doors in September 2017 and welcomed over 300 students, making it the most successful school opening in Doha in recent years. In 2018, SISQ welcomed over 550 students and in 2019, SISQ expects to have more than 700 students. SISQ's student body represents more than 60 different nationalities ensuring they have a truly international community. Students at SISQ speak more than 35 different languages. Whilst English is the main language of instruction, there is a specific focus on the French language as well as Arabic and German. Class Sizes The average class size at SISQ varies between 18 and 22. This allows the teachers and learning assistants to provide a personalized learning experience for each child. Enrichment Activities SISQ offers more than 50 different enrichment activities and after-school clubs. This ensures that their learning extends beyond the classroom.
