Greenview Islamic School is the brainchild of a group of Muslim professionals who are committed to improving the quality of education in Islamic schools education. Officially opened in September 2010 in Subang Jaya, the school began with one classroom, four students, six teachers, and a SmartBoard on loan.
After a year’s achievement, the School Board made a thorough search for a new and larger premise in Selangor as the student population had reached a hundred strong. In March 2012, Greenview Islamic School found an ideal premise in D’Bayu Mall, Bukit Jelutong where it currently resides. In a commercial building in a beautiful and quiet residential surroundings, students can learn with peace of mind.
On 21 September 2012, Greenview Islamic School became a registered Cambridge Centre. It means that students can sit for the Cambridge Checkpoint examinations for Year 6 and Year 9. The examination papers are then sent to Cambridge for marking and evaluation. Cambridge checkpoint examinations are important for preparing students to sit for Cambridge IGCSE in Year 11.
Today, the school continues to expand in terms of the student population and school premise, alhamdulillah. The School Board is now working towards the school having its building and premise to ensure greater security, better facilities, and stability, insha'Allah.
Since its inception in 2010, Greenview Islamic School has expanded rapidly to become an important provider of quality private international education in Malaysia. As a registered Cambridge center, Greenview students benefit from a skilled-based curriculum driven by content.
Supported by a pool of talented and caring teachers, parents are assured of a holistic education that develops the mind as well as the heart. In values education, we want to mold our children’s attitudes and the way they think so that they can grow up to become Grade A persons and Grade A Muslims. No one is poor because he lacks natural resources or because nature was cruel towards him. Someone is poor because he lacks the right values in life such as self-discipline and self-correctness. He lacks the will to succeed and the commitment to achieving excellence.
In Greenview, we use the Positive Re-enforcement Learning Method to raise the self-esteem and self-ambition of every child under our care. In Greenview, we instill in our children the right Islamic values by teaching that Islam is a religion and a complete way of life that is compassionate for all.
Our task is to prepare students for their future by developing in the students the capabilities they will need to compete in a competitive global market. Our goal as an Islamic School is to produce good practicing Muslims who love the Religion and live according to the high ethical values defined by Islam. Our contribution to the nation is to produce progressive citizens who will contribute to the country’s progress.
In tomorrow’s world, students will need more than just ‘A’ grades in their exams. They will need to think out of the box. They will need the skill to communicate a great idea and to speak with confidence that stems from a strong belief in themselves and Allah. The Mission of Greenview Islamic International School is to provide students with high-quality educational opportunities that will prepare them for their future. Belief Statements:

At Greenview Islamic School, values-based learning is the key to the way we teach. With strong positive values, teachers and staff create a positive learning environment for your child. Through a values-based school like Greenview Islamic School, children develop a strong sense of who they are. They develop responsibility and trust. In turn, this liberates teachers from the stress of confrontations that frees up both teaching and learning times. By working closely with parents, students grow socially and academically and eventuate into confident and happy individuals.
Values-based learning is fully supported by our Islamic Education. We use the Teach Your Child Islaam at-Tawheed series in our curriculum. The teaching of Islaam is based on critical thinking techniques supported by Cambridge as well. In keeping pace with educational developments and trends, The Cambridge O' Level Islamiyat curriculum emphasizes broad and balanced study across a wide range of subject areas. The curriculum is structured so that students attain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Islam.
Arabic is an important subject in Greenview and students who have developed a strong interest in learning Arabic are encouraged to sit for the Cambridge IGCSE First Language Arabic in Year 11. This First Language syllabus develops learners' ability to communicate Arabic, accurately, and effectively.
