The Scientific Director oversees a team of Publications and Medical Communications/Education professionals responsible for the planning and development of internal and external data dissemination and communications through leading: Strategic publication planning and execution, including the development of abstract submissions to medical and scientific congresses, posters, and platform presentations, manuscripts, and journal publication enhancements Scientific communications strategic planning and resource development, including scientific platforms, lexicons, and FAQs/backgrounders, while supporting content development for advisory boards Medical education planning, including content development for live education programs and congress symposia, online education, multichannel HCP education, field medical tools, slide decks, and medical booth resources This role reports to the Head of Global Scientific Communications & Publications – Immunology, within Global Medical at Sanofi . Collaboration with external authors and academic experts is essential to drive execution of high quality and relevant publications and medical education materials to address educational and data gaps and inform decision making. In addition to investigators/authors, a key element of this role involves managing scientific agencies and requires working closely with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders, particularly from Research and Clinical Development, to drive the data generation strategy and integration of scientific, clinical, and business priorities. The Global Scientific Director has experience and a proven track record of success in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in scientific research, publication planning, medical communications, and medical affairs activities. Qualifications and Skills Advance degree in life sciences or pharmaceutical sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD) with 10+ years of relevant medical affairs experience. The second chapter of our Play to Win journey is about modernizing the Specialty Care North America commercial operations with a keen sense of urgency and putting in place the right preparations for our exciting pipeline. Reporting to the Head of NA Commercial Transformation and New Product Launches, Specialty Care North America (reporting organization may be subject to further change), this position is responsible for the preparation and execution for commercial market development and launch in the US for non-alliance immunology including assets such as amlitelimab, rilzabrutinib and lunsekimig. This team will be critical to the set-up and path for future launches of blockbuster immunology products. The incumbent will be a skilled marketer with strong knowledge of the US healthcare system that will be relied upon to inform go-to-market launch planning. Activities will be bespoke to each commercial opportunity but will include, but not be limited to, market shaping activities, biomarkers or other diagnostics, ecosystem building, patient services offerings and supporting the development of new or enhanced service lines as appropriate. In addition, the candidate will engage with healthcare providers (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) and work with their global counterparts to develop campaigns across multiple channels and mediums.
