You will take on a wide variety of tasks: Tax Accounting & Reporting: Support in the preparation and review of global tax provisions under IFRS and US GAAP, including the preparation of disclosures and reconciliation of GAAP differences. This also includes maintaining tax provision memoranda and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit processes, including SOX documentation, as well as support for tax reporting requirements from controllers and tax managers across the Group. Process Improvement & Compliance: Identify and support the implementation of process improvements in tax provision and compliance functions, while preparing tax account reconciliations and related schedules. Drive efficiencies in client and EY processes by designing and implementing straightforward solutions to complex challenges, leveraging standardization, centralization, and technology to enhance tax reporting processes continuously. Collaboration & Development Assist in mentoring and developing junior staff on ASC 740, IAS 12, and other key tax concepts. Collaborate with internal tax, accounting, and finance teams, as well as external service providers. Your skillset Bachelor's degree and over 3 years of experience in corporate tax and withholding tax, including comprehensive knowledge of corporate tax compliance and experience in corporate income tax in one or more countries. Strong understanding of the ASC 740 and IAS 12 frameworks, as well as strong communication skills enhanced through collaboration with multicultural teams. Especially German language skills on level C1 are needed. Good experience with tax accounting software and advanced Excel skills to deliver efficient and accurate results. Your key responsibilities As a Manager, you will be working on a selection of clients where you are the “VAT controller” for the Indirect Tax compliance outsourced to EY, including: Act as central point of contact – liaise with your international clients and colleagues with respect to regional and global Indirect Tax compliance. Monitoring, and giving feedback on, the quality of our clients’ indirect tax data (using AI and other technologies) and reports of your clients. Reviewing and approving indirect tax returns, and considering ways to maximise cash for your clients. Supervise, coach and lead team members. Broaden the relationship network with existing clients and participate in commercial initiatives together with Senior Managers or Partners.
