MIGS comprises Reception, Primary and Secondary Sections that strive to deliver quality learning at all times. With over 300 students, a hundred members of staff, thirty-seven different nationalities in one unique place where each matter and world-class educational standards we are worth a second look.
While academic success is at the core of the school mission, there is a strong emphasis on the holistic, self-development of students through involvement in a wide range of sports, STEM, Co-Curricular Activities, and outdoor education. MIGS is proud of its heritage whereby emphasis goes into making the school a place where students, not costs, are the primary driver of improvement.
MIGS is governed by a Board of Directors who play an important part in the school community. As overseers of the school, their primary responsibilities are to make strategic decisions about resource and capital investment and in ensuring that statutory legal obligations are met.
In the early days of education in the United Kingdom, a grammar school was a term used to differentiate an academic school from other types of school such as religious schools, military schools, and agricultural schools. Grammar schools were usually attended by the elite students who received the best education and the best opportunities to reach their full potential. That is the foundation upon which Mutiara International Grammar School was established.
Our mission is to challenge students to reach their full potential by offering an international curriculum that encourages students to become lifelong learners and develop intellectual curiosity with a thirst for innovation.

As a School, in many ways, we have changed, yet in others, we remain the same. Our premises continue to be refreshed, adding on or refurbishing learning spaces to create optimal learning conditions, but we continue our Mutiaran heritage – a holistic education and a strong family atmosphere. Academic rigor is considered very important but it is complemented by the celebration of learning in the arts, sports, and real world relevant skills such as effective communication and collaboration.
