      1. MIGS comprises Reception, Primary and Secondary Sections that strive to deliver quality learning at all times. By working closely together in a distinctive, friendly family atmosphere, our teachers and staff ensure your MIGS experience is memorable. With over 300 students, a hundred members of staff, thirty-seven different nationalities in one unique place where each matter and world-class educational standards we are worth a second look. While academic success is at the core of the school mission, there is a strong emphasis on the holistic, self-development of students through involvement in a wide range of sports, STEM, Co-Curricular Activities, and outdoor education. MIGS is proud of its heritage whereby emphasis goes into making the school a place where students, not costs, are the primary driver of improvement. MIGS is governed by a Board of Directors who play an important part in the school community. As overseers of the school, their primary responsibilities are to make strategic decisions about resource and capital investment and in ensuring that statutory legal obligations are met. In the early days of education in the United Kingdom, a grammar school was a term used to differentiate an academic school from other types of school such as religious schools, military schools, and agricultural schools. Grammar schools were usually attended by the elite students who received the best education and the best opportunities to reach their full potential. That is the foundation upon which Mutiara International Grammar School was established. Our mission is to challenge students to reach their full potential by offering an international curriculum that encourages students to become lifelong learners and develop intellectual curiosity with a thirst for innovation. Here at MIGS, we strive to prepare our students for a successful future by ensuring access to the skills and academic qualifications necessary to be responsible, proactive, and productive members of our global society. MIGS combines a reputation of academic excellence with a family-friendly, community outlook. Our students are self-confident, participant stakeholders in all aspects of school and community life-enhancing the lovely, positive feel of the school. As we grasp the competitive nature of the 21st century, it is very important to adapt our educational methods to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential. The opportunities to engage, collaborate and apply the skills they learn at MIGS will assist our students to excel in their formal studies and their approaches to personal development. It is our intention at MIGS to prepare students thoroughly for further studies in top colleges and universities around the world in whatever endeavors they favor. Life is a learning process and even we as teachers, pride ourselves on continuous change to bettering our teaching and to our personalized approach to education. Our international and local educators have expansive subject knowledge and experience and are committed to the academic, social, and emotional wellbeing of our students. Behind our core is the belief that the main purpose of education is to develop the whole child not just academically, but holistically. Being a small-sized school also ensures that class sizes are not too large, and this enhances the individual time each student has with their teachers and peers. Staffed by a complement of educational and support specialists and an innovative and flexible curriculum structure, we can deliver a more personalized educational experience. We aim to build on each student’s potential to excel in a variety of different directions. Offering an excellent international program, built upon the highest standards of the Cambridge and English National Curriculum, we firmly believe that MIGS is the right choice for your child. As a School, in many ways, we have changed, yet in others, we remain the same. Our premises continue to be refreshed, adding on or refurbishing learning spaces to create optimal learning conditions, but we continue our Mutiaran heritage – a holistic education and a strong family atmosphere. Academic rigor is considered very important but it is complemented by the celebration of learning in the arts, sports, and real world relevant skills such as effective communication and collaboration.
