Trinity International University-Florida are regional sites of Trinity International University, Deerfield, Illinois.
The Miami-Dade location was established in 1993 following a close relationship with Miami Christian College. The Florida sites offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs represented by three schools of the university – Trinity College, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Trinity Graduate School.
Trinity has a rich legacy that reaches back to the end of the 19th century beginning as a Bible Institute. It is the result of the merger of two Scandinavian immigrant church groups, who began schools to train their ministers and missionaries. The two groups were the Norwegian-Danish Free Church Association and the Swedish Evangelical Free Church of America. Since 1897, Trinity has flourished through many transitions. The latest transition occurred in January 1995 when Trinity College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and Trinity College in Miami, Florida united to become Trinity International University.
The entire university is international and committed to serving the global church. Trinity offers students an international vision in a world that is increasingly independent and enrolls students from over forty countries on all our campuses.
Trinity’s special mission is to do that which the great Western universities have ceased to do — provide excellence in academics as well as preparation for ministry and professions — all within the context of a Christian worldview and a Christian community.

Students in the EXCEL undergraduate program attend class one evening or Saturday per week for 5-7 weeks. This schedule helps you plan your education around your work, family, and ministry commitments. Focusing on only one class at a time helps to ensure your success.
The Undergraduate EXCEL programs of Trinity College offer unique opportunities for learners to enhance their professional goals through accelerated education.
Seven majors are offered in the EXCEL undergraduate program. Each major serves as strong preparation for career development and graduate school studies. TIU-Florida uses a rolling registration process that allows students to enroll throughout the calendar year. Classes are offered through a cohort model that fosters the community and learning within small groups of students who take all of their general education and/or core courses together.
