Since its establishment in 1913, this iconic institution has always been the dream destination of all youngsters aspiring for excellence in academics, sports, debates, and other personality development areas. For the last more than a century, it has been relentlessly equipping the youth of this province and the nation with great ideals, exemplary character, and excellent skills. Entirely in line with its enormous role in making the dream of Pakistan a reality, Islamia College Peshawar has always been at the forefront of safeguarding its ideological and geographical frontiers.
After becoming a public sector university in 2008, ICP's domain of contribution has enormously expanded. Capitalizing on its glorious past, it is confidently setting new goals following the current and emerging scenarios' highly competitive academic environment. Our students, faculty, and supporting staff are jointly striving to retain and enhance our image of excellence and fulfill the expectations of all those associated with us—alumni, parents, educationists, and the entire nation.
Islamia College Peshawar, the symbol of academic excellence, is rich in history. It is a building, which is the best embodiment of Muslim civilization in south Asia, and its lush green lawns attract visitors from all over the country and abroad. It is not only the culminating point of the Aligarh Movement; it is, in fact, the beautiful combination of Aligarh and Deoband Schools of Thought. Being the Pashtun intelligentsia's breeding ground, this excellent learning seat is where diamonds are skimmed since 1913. Moreover, Islamia College Peshawar was destined to become the three universities' mother institution and several colleges on its campus. This credit goes to Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum, commonly called The Sir Sayyed of the Frontier, and his sincere colleagues, who founded Islamia College Peshawar in 1913.
Islamia College Peshawar is the best example of endowments. According to the Board of Trustees, the College, which is spread over 300 acres of land, has 1089 Jaribs cultivable land in Harichand, Rai Killi, and Tarnab (District Charsadda). In addition to this, there are 395 shops and flats in the Khyber Bazaar Peshawar and main bazaar Charsadda.
