The educational goal of the Kurume Institute of Technology is to "foster engineers rich in humanity" and to provide assistance and services needed for individual students.
The Institution established our newest department, The Department of Education and Creation Engineering, in April 2007. We begin to send our graduates into the field of education with in-depth scientific knowledge. The Master's Course in Automotive Systems Engineering aims to produce engineers requested by automobile industries recently gathered on Kyushu Island. Our graduate students can obtain the certificate of the First- Class Auto Mechanic through the program. All the undergraduate departments offer courses that students can choose from, and each department helps them acquire a wide range of scientific knowledge in the latest facilities.
The course aims to foster professional engineers specializing in the research, development, design, and production of the latest automotive technology and electronic control technology. The programs include the following five areas: automotive systems engineering, engine dynamics, research/design/production engineering, and security/environmental engineering.
If students complete the specified courses, they can obtain the certificate of the First Class Automotive Mechanic. The faculty members are from major automobile manufacturers, JARI (Japan Automobile Research Institute), and other specialists with long practical experience in research, development, and design in automobile engineering.
The security and development of energy resources, improvements in energy efficiency in the energy transformation, energy-saving technology, and the establishment of countermeasures against global warming are essential energy-related tasks of the 21st-century energy problems.
The course aims to produce professional engineers specialized in energy engineering with a wide range of knowledge and skills in related fields of study. The programs include the following three areas: thermal and fluid dynamics energy engineering, energy equipment systems engineering, and architecture/environment systems engineering. The faculty members are specialists with vast experience in construction enterprises and specialists in energy and energy resources and energy dynamics. We welcome those who wish to activate this country with scarce resources.
Technological innovation in the area of the IT Industry is quicker than ever. This program will foster professional engineers specialized in IT technology with direct contact with excellent faculty members and practical educational programs. When students' needs and the IT Industry's needs are considered and matched, their IT skills are upgraded to obtain IT specialist certificates. The program also provides courses in Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, fundamental engineering, and practical English. Students can also enhance their skills by assisting professors as Teaching Assistants of undergraduate information courses and other related seminars.
