Our school is a comprehensive university of technology that covers fishery, industry, and business. The three major areas on which we base our development are aquaculture, leisure and tourism, and green energy. We have twelve departments from three colleges and have five graduate school departments, and the number of students is about 3,015. As for the faculty, the number of full-time members is 121, including more than 102 having owned assistant professorship and higher. The graduate institute's teaching faculty is made up of the Departments of Electrical, Computer Science, and Communication Engineerings. There are nineteen full-time professors from domestic and outstanding universities from overseas countries, including two full-time professors, eight associate professors, and nine assistant professors. The graduate institute contains many laboratories for students learning, including System design Lab, Automatic Control Lab, Energy Lab, Wind-Solar power practical training place, Electronic Lab, Digitization Lab, Communication Lab, Microwave Lab, Network System Lab, and Software system Lab, Servo Lab. A focus on the information technology and application in the outlying islands is to become a characteristic of the future department. There are fundamental and kernel courses along with the general courses in our syllabus. In our programs, we have been spending our energy fostering top-notched service business management talents in the fields of both practical training and theoretical development. To go with the demands of local industries in Penghu, this institute has offered many kinds of courses to get prepared for those interested in the service industry and transportation and logistics for Cross-Strait Link. Combined with each department's human resources for the Humanity and Social Sciences Academy, this institute aims to foster middle and high-level managerial staff. In general, the programs cover the fields of transportation, logistics, information technology, and public affairs service as well as management as the axis of management talents.
