      1. Llantilio Pertholey Church in Wales Primary School and look forward to working with you and making sure that together we do the best for your child. We want your child’s time at our school to be happy, exciting, and educational. We believe that learning should be fun and that by encouraging respect for each other and valuing the opportunities available we all grow and learn together. At Llantilio Pertholey we aim to create an atmosphere where children feel motivated to learn in a calm, creative and safe environment. We encourage our children to become self-confident and independent learners and work in close partnership with parents and the local community to achieve high standards of work and behavior. Our school opened in April 1991 and replaced the old school which had been part of the community for over 100 years. The school was delighted to remain a Church in Wales Voluntary Controlled School and further strengthen links with St Teilo’s church and its associated community. Llantilio Pertholey Church in Wales Primary School will strive to provide a welcoming, happy, caring, and secure working environment for all, in which our children will be educated appropriately in terms of the changing needs of the world in which they live. The emphasis will be focused on developing literate, numerate, scientifically aware, and digitally competent individuals. Aims: Provide a happy, caring, stimulating environment in which every child can develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and morally to their full potential, in preparation for their role in tomorrow’s society, within a school firmly based on Christian principles. Encourage our children to become independent learners who are happy, confident, and secure. Develop in our children lively, enquiring, and creative minds through a broad, balanced, enriched curriculum. Enable our children to achieve their true potential and to take pride in their achievements while taking pleasure in the achievement of others. Provide a friendly, welcoming school in which everyone feels valued and appreciated. Build strong collaborative partnerships with families and the local community. Encourage our children to appreciate their Welsh heritage, culture, and language. Provide an environment for our children which promotes good health and nutrition. Promote a sense of responsibility, respect, and caring for self, others, the environment, and the wider community. View full school
