  1. Harrow is one of Britain’s leading independent schools, one of the very few schools still specializing in providing a high-quality boarding school education for boys. Founded in 1572 under a Royal Charter granted by Elizabeth I it has been providing education to boys for over 400 years. Two members of our Governing Bodywork at Harrow School and we have been delighted with the school’s efforts to support St Jérôme, by allowing us to use their facilities to hold our Open Days. We are extremely proud to work with our partner school Holy Trinity. The school offers a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment in which to learn, which we hope to recreate at St Jérôme. They are a Christian school that works in close partnership with their local church Holy Trinity Church to serve our local community. Holy Trinity is constantly striving to provide the highest quality education for all its children. They are passionate about engaging with their children in a broad, challenging, and creative curriculum that inspires those children to want to learn more and prepares them fully for the challenges and opportunities they will face when they leave the school. We will continue to work closely with Holy Trinity in the year to come and hope to bring the successes of this school to our new school serving the people of Harrow. Our vision is to provide an outstanding Church of England primary school education for all our children and to extend the opportunity for an excellent bilingual education beyond the private sector. This means: An inspiring curriculum An inspiring learning environment A relentless focus on communication in all its forms, in English and French Outstanding achievement and progress in all aspects of the English National Curriculum Outstanding quality of teaching High standards of behavior Christian values to develop character and foster a sense of belonging Children discovering and developing new talents and interests Nobody being left behind Reflective and resourceful learners Children who are personally, socially, and academically ready for a smooth transition to secondary school and a successful future Excellent sports provision Children who are confident about their own identity and feel connected to the local, national and international community to which they belong As a designated Church of England School, we will have a Christian ethos but we will welcome children of all faiths and none. Children will attend church approx seven times per term. The Christian faith provides many guiding principles and core values that can shape a holistic approach to education. At St. Jérôme Church of England Bilingual School, a Christian ethos and a multi-cultural, multi-lingual approach go hand in hand. We will promote integration amongst all people of all different cultures and backgrounds, both within the school and in the wider community. Learning Francophile cultures and customs will give children a second way to see the world and help develop them as engaged global citizens. Within the ethos of the school, the beliefs and practices of other faiths will be respected. Religious Education will reflect the diversity of the local community and promote reflection and spiritual, moral, and cultural development.
