Even though it is a relatively small HEI, it is one of the three best-rated primary teacher training colleges in the Netherlands, according to the HBO Keuzegids 2018. Quality and innovation of education are greatly valued within the institution, just as personal attention for each student and collaboration with various partners involved in education (e.g., research institutes and primary schools). Iselin Hogeschool has always been firmly anchored in the region, but it has also aimed to look beyond the Dutch borders for the last few years when it comes to acceptable practices in education. Iselin Hogeschool is ambitious in realizing its educational vision and boosting educational innovation in the region. We are a small-scale independent university with strong regional solidarity and an inspiring national network. In close cooperation with the professional field, we offer students innovative higher education so that we train them to become competent, creative 'opinionated' teachers. - At UAS Leiden, we have been carrying out international projects since 1994, focusing mainly on development cooperation. These projects aim to build capacity in educational institutions in developing countries through training-of-trainers (ToT) programs. With education being our core business and a significant part of our activities, we have built up knowledge and vast experience in Health Care and Peace, Justice, and Security. Through various programs funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we cooperate with partners from developing countries by providing training and education. This way, we contribute to strengthening their capacity to train students to establish a growing qualified workforce. In the last years, we have been active in Guatemala, South-Africa, Indonesia, Ghana, and Uganda. Our partners are universities and post-secondary training institutions in various fields. - Artesis Plantijn University College is a brand new university college, originating from Artesis University College and Plantijn University College. AP or Artesis Plantijn University College Antwerp stands for Antwerp and Province, Arts and Professional, Ambitious and Passionate. In short, AP is the perfect name for our university college. AP's 11.000 students, 24 vocational educations, and eight art programs are clustered into four faculties and two schools of arts. Even though AP University College is very young, its schools of arts have a long history: the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp was founded in 1898, and the Royal Academy of Fine arts is 350 years old.
