Haileybury Rendall School is named after the founder of Haileybury, Charles Rendall. Having been educated at Haileybury England, Charles Rendall wanted to offer the same type of education in Melbourne. Haileybury officially opened its doors in Brighton, Melbourne, on 10 February 1892. Haileybury Rendall School adapts the best of Haileybury's academic, social justice, and international programs to the education environment in the Northern Territory. The acclaim stems from our remarkable academic results achieved through the highly successful parallel education model, outstanding teachers, small class sizes, an unmatched level of individual attention – and over 125 years of history and achievement. Haileybury has high expectations for its students and provides them with the support needed to achieve academically. In the Junior School, Haileybury's literacy and numeracy results are amongst the very best in Australia. In the Senior School, we expect 45% of boys and girls to be placed in the top 10% in Australia, 75% in the top 20% in the country, and 90% should be in the top 30%.
