Welcome to IAK. Our school has a strong tradition of teaching in English and many of our students can communicate well in the spoken and the written language. We serve a multi-cultural and multi-national student body, with an emphasis on academic learning based on the UK National Curriculum and Cambridge IGCSE examinations. In Year 12 our students follow the Cambridge International A level course in preparation for university entrance. Our student population of over 1500 comprises mainly local ex-patriate Arab families as well as Kuwaiti nationals.
It is our ultimate aim to provide an environment for our students to take chances with their learning and development. IAK provides a balanced education with a strong academic focus. We aim to develop the learning of the whole child, not only to succeed academically but also physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
