Main Responsibilities: Manage the financial aspects of a strategic clinical development project, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking actuals for multiple indications and clinical trials. Serve as a key member of the Global Project Team, translating project milestones and activities into comprehensive financial metrics and providing decision-making support. Ensure transparency and visibility of project budgets to all relevant stakeholders, identifying and communicating financial risks and opportunities. Analyze financial variances as the project progresses, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement, and assist in identifying potential cost-saving measures. Lead project valuations and establish comprehensive project cost tables, NPV, and other financial metrics, contributing financial insights and recommendations to project strategy discussions. Prepare financial tables for governance meetings, outlining the financial implications of investment decisions, and ensure alignment with company-wide strategic initiatives and business development goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) Finance, to integrate all relevant financial components into the global project view and ensure compliance with financial procedures. Provide reporting on externally partnered projects in collaboration with Business Development and Alliance Management teams, ensuring accurate representation of financial data and commitments. About You: Experience in financial management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Strong understanding of clinical trial design and cost drivers, including FTE costs, external clinical costs, and non-clinical expenses. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Strategic mindset with the ability to provide financial insights to support decision-making at both tactical and strategic levels. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to clinical development and financial reporting. Experience with financial systems and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion, is desirable. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
