    Job Description  EY team:   Ernst & Young performs professional services globally, including auditing, assurance, consulting & tax. This role is part of Finance Operations (within Tax Service line), who provides the client with immediate access to an entire finance function delivering end to end services from transaction processing, accounting, monthly reporting through the statutory and tax cycle.     Role:    This role is expected to Lead Finance Operate team based in Buenos Aires, for clients based in US and LATAM.   The key deliverables for this role are: Lead a team based in GDS Buenos Aires, reporting to Senior Manager. Oversee day to day activities from BA team, composed of Seniors and Staffs and be the last review level before sharing deliverables with client. These activities include: Manual JEs Monthly closing reporting Management reports Monthly closing adjustments Close Management Preparation of Financial Statements (FS), which includes: GAAP to GAAP adjustments BS, PL, Equity, Cash Flow Complementary notes such as financial instruments, deferred tax, leasing, etc. Become client stakeholders trusted advisor and main point of contact during the transition and after go-live Coach junior team members to deliver client on timely and quality manner, becoming a referent for them and leading by example in terms of client communication and team behaviours. Interact with other locations such as GDS India and ACR US onshore team to guarantee business model and client support is consistent across locations. Monitor operation metrics and other metrics defined with client during transition. Analysis of budget vs actual Preparing budgets for different projects    Profile:   The ideal candidate should have an Accounting degree (CPA), 8+ years of experience in similar roles and an advanced English level.   Experience working in shared service centres and/or external audits. Project / transition knowledge: Experience in transitioning complex projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost. Participated in or led an ERP or other IT tool implementation & understands the different steps in the lifecycle of such a project Leadership skills Strong communication skills with the courage & integrity to speak candidly & succinctly Ability to collaborate across different time zones, cultures & teams Excellent analytical skills: ability to quickly assess problems/risks and connect dots Deliver high quality materials to relevant stakeholders Proactive: challenge the status quo and go beyond own lines of duty Ability to manage uncertainty and pivots High say – do ratio: ability to assess what is feasible and manage expectations, delivers on promises (own it up!) The opportunity As  a  Consultant  you  will  help  the team  deliver  and contribute  to  the  profitable  growth  by  ensuring  client  engagements  are executed in an efficient manner.  Your key responsibilities Your client responsibilities:    o    Conduct the engagement in a professional manner and in accordance with  client expectations and as defined by the terms and conditions of the  contract.    o    Preparation and filing of individual tax return, e-TDS return, drafting of  submissions before tax authorities, representation before the tax authorities, advising on outbound/ inbound structuring in connection with movement of  employees, working knowledge of immigration and provident fund in  connection with expatriates, etc  Your people responsibilities:  o    Exhibit positive attitude and demonstrate willingness to learn.    o    Work constructively with team to evaluate and improve personal and team  performance.    o    Contribute and leverage knowledge from individuals, databases and other  sources.  o    Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.  Operational Excellence / Day to day responsibilities:  o    Participate in executing work within a group by assisting by delivering work  effectively, and teaming with tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax  solutions.  o    Ensure that the areas of work assigned are executed in accordance with the  work programme and the firm’s methodologies and guidance, and  professional standards.    o    Use electronic working papers, efficiently including various software  applications and sources of knowledge in an appropriate manner to conduct  research.  o    Acquire and demonstrate competence in technical knowledge, and  compliance process by keeping up to date on trends, developments and  technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations.  o    Analyze and convert data into a tax product (advisory/compliance) and  ensure accuracy and timeliness of the product.    o    Where applicable thoroughly check documents and make available for tax  inspections in an appropriate manner.    o    Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships  and related work products.  o   Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough  understanding of our methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery;  keeping team members informed of work status; actively seeking                                                                              2               assignments when unassigned; proactively seeking opportunities to provide tax services; challenging traditional procedures used in the past; and  attempting to find new approach  Skills and attributes for success Good Communication skills (Written & Oral)    Proficient in MS word, excel, power point  Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong Analytical/Numerical ability  Enthusiastic and Self Starter     Team Player  Ability to grasp details  Good time management skills  To qualify for the role you must have A certified CA  0-1 year of relevant experience Ideally you’ll also have Good interpersonal skills  Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative  Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client) What we look for People with the ability to work in a collaborative way to provide services across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements.
