To support this fast paced and evolving digital landscape, EY leverages Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) expertise combined with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and automation driven database practices to deliver secure, high performance, and resilient solutions for mission critical business applications.   As part of our global EY GDS team, you will work as a Manager EBS DBA / OCI professional, supporting large scale Oracle EBS environments across on premises and cloud deployments. You will be involved in solving complex technical challenges, including EBS migrations to OCI, database upgrades, high availability design, and performance optimization, while contributing to the development of next generation EBS and OCI platforms in a collaborative, international delivery environment.     The opportunity   We are offering you a demanding role. You will use your advanced expertise in Oracle Database, SQL Database and Cloud Infrastructure OCI/Azure to deliver secure, scalable, and high availability solutions for mission critical enterprise applications. This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with global stakeholders and supporting large scale cloud migration, database modernization, and operational excellence initiatives.     Your key responsibilities   Work on Bids, proposals, project reviews, solution blueprints, technical architecture solutioning etc. Overseeing Oracle EBS database administration and OCI implementation, and identifying opportunities for performance, scalability, and availability improvements. Accountable for ensuring database standards, cloud architecture guidelines, and operational processes are followed across on premise and OCI environments. Manage a team of competent high performing DBA team and implement metrics, monitoring, and incident response processes as well as change management and capacity planning processes. Perform and support end to end database and application migrations from on premises environments to OCI, guiding teams through design, execution, and stabilization. Responsible for technical decision making, solution design, environment optimization, and supporting implementation activities for EBS and Oracle database workloads. Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlines in a complex technical environment Accountable for collaborating with Cloud Infrastructure teams, supporting instance provisioning, virtual network design, routing rules, security configurations, and database deployments.   Strong understanding of: Oracle Database upgrades (9i/10g/11g to 12c/18c/19c) SQL Server DBA experience (SQL Server 2008–2019/2022) OCI networking, security, and database services Production support and cross platform migrations on Cloud Execute end to end database migrations, including: Virtual network design Routing rules Security configuration Compute instance creation Database deployment and configuration Responsible for ensuring database configurations, operational guidelines, and technical documentation are maintained and aligned with enterprise standards. Support database upgrades, patching, maintenance, and performance tuning for Oracle databases (12c, 18c, 19c) running on on prem and OCI platforms. Work with additional database technologies such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Perform gap analysis against best practices and recommend improvements related to database performance, availability, security, and cloud architecture. Identify at risk environments or migration challenges and work with relevant teams to mitigate risks proactively. Perform technical reviews and identify corrective actions to improve database reliability and operational efficiency.     Skills and attributes for success   Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with business delivery teams. Analytical thinking. Strong team-player and self-started attitude. Ability to create documentation for Technical Proof of concept (POC). Well organized, attentive to details attitude.     To qualify for the role, you must have   8-12 years of relevant experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and/or supporting highly distributed applications. Extensive experience working on at least one Public Cloud – Oracle/Azure/Google. Oracle Cloud is preferred . BTech / MTech / MCA / MBA Technical lead for engagements such as Proof of Concepts and Architectural Design Sessions to define and design a complete solution using best practices on Oracle Cloud System administration experience (Linux, Solaris)     Additionally, good to have   Certificated in Public Cloud – Oracle/AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Certified Architect Professional Technical – Experience in Designing, Developing, Deploying and/or Migrating mission critical business applications to Cloud environments including re-platform of such systems Expertise in architecting best technical solutions based on customer requirement Experience giving presentations to executive audiences and explaining the benefits of the platform and service solution over competitors     Ideally, you’ll also have   Possesses good communication skills to coordinate, resolve queries of both external and internal customers Self-motivator and result oriented to complete task as per timelines Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills Good written/Verbal Communication, Presentation, Interactive skills with team across geography.
