On a typical day, you will have the opportunity to: Be involved in and manage business transformation projects/workstreams across the end-to-end project lifecycle, from business case development to project mobilisation, execution, and close-out. Engage directly with senior client stakeholders, Product Owners, and Solutions Delivery Managers to drive programme / project outcomes, whilst continuously improving governance processes and ways of working. Works on a day-to-day basis to deliver the business transformation objectives / work packages within the overall programme and will manage the schedule within agreed scope/quality and cost dimensions. Work with other managers to explore specific solutions and cross stream deliverables and define the scope of all deliverables. Manage the delivery of complex multi-stream projects/ workstreams in accordance with client Delivery Methodology leveraging EY approaches/methods Lead the delivery of business transformations based on agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or traditional waterfall or hybrid approaches when required. Plan and manage business transformations incl. definition of scope, planning (critical path) and monitoring of delivery; organisation and leadership of governance meetings; preparation and distribution of status reports; management and monitoring of project costs/budget and cash flow/invoicing; and communication with relevant stakeholders. Manage the delivery resourcing and cost Identify, manage, and communicate risks and issues plus internal/external dependencies Monitor benefits realisation in the form of key outcome metrics. Maintain a standard-format roadmap of inflight deliverables, for use in programme, and portfolio reporting. Key responsibilities (EY Consulting Manager Rank): Support EY FSO Business Consulting business development activities, such as proposals, thought leadership and producing input for client events. Manage and coach our people. Successfully support Senior Manager lead complex engagements ensuring coordination with client’s strategic objectives. Support Senior Manager end to end manage engagement revenue and billing with minimal support. Communicate with authority to multiple audiences, including senior leadership. Skills and attributes for success: To qualify for the role, you must have: 8+yrs experience in a management consultant role within financial services. Primary Degree. Experience of delivery of complex projects and strong presentation skills. Highly experienced in financial, stakeholder and people management. Experience of working on projects through the full delivery life cycle (from project concept/initiation to closing). Ideally, you will also have: Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty. Project Management Certification and/or Agile certification desirable (e.g. PRINCE2, Scrum Master). Experience using project and portfolio management tools such as Clarity is preferable. Management Consulting experience is preferable. Decision Making: Identify and make decisions that have a significant programme impact; escalating decisions that cannot be resolved within the project in line with programme governance structure. Deadline-driven, highly organised, and able to multi-task. Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving ability including logical reasoning, creative thinking, and the ability to untangle complex issues. Leveraging from your tax technical knowledge, you will be responsible for analyzing qualifying cost aspects of their R&D projects and assisting in determining whether those costs are eligible for R&D tax relief.
