The academic journey continues for high school students as they pursue their academic passions while growing more robust in their Christian faith. With access to a rich combination of core classes and electives in a rigorous, comprehensive college preparatory environment, VCHS students have the opportunity to explore a variety of disciplines that lead them to achieve their God-intended purposes. At Valley Christian High School, we believe in creating unique opportunities to maximize each four-year high school academic experience. Through our 1:1 iPad technology, the Dual Credit program, the Academic and College Counseling staff, and a variety of levels of classes so students can learn at their own pace, we strive to provide each student with a customized high school experience that sets them up for success academically, professionally, and personally.

Valley Christian High School offers students the opportunity to specialize in applied math, science, or engineering through AMSE. This program offers unique training with experienced professionals to help students develop a competitive portfolio of work throughout high school. The program extends the various after-school offerings available at the elementary and junior high levels, and VCHS AMSE students also have extraordinary opportunities to participate in the International Space Station (ISS) Program, the Satellite Development Program, the Astronomy Research Program, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honors Society, Robotics, and much more. Our state-of-the-art facilities include the ISS Lab, the NanoTechnology Lab, the Satellite Tracking Station, the VC Observatory, and much more. The AMSE program curriculum is designed to advance the individual's unique interests and abilities; thus, VCHS faculty members tailor each AMSE student's schedule based on which courses and activities will best assist the student in meeting his/her personal goals.
The Conservatory of the Arts offers high school students the exciting opportunity to further refine their God-given artistic talents by majoring or minoring in one of seven disciplines, including Music, Visual Arts, Dance Arts, Cinematic Arts, Theatre Arts, Integrated Arts, or Theatrical Design and Technology. We have expanded our course offerings by entering into strategic partnerships with internationally-recognized art institutions such as the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Steinway Corporation. Our commitment to providing students with extraordinary opportunities was recently rewarded when the VCHS Marching Band and Color Guard were selected to march in the 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade. Two of our theatre students were selected to perform in a 2014 summer showcase on Broadway.
Our impressive Conservatory building houses state-of-the-art labs, studios, rehearsal rooms, and performance spaces for our talented students. Our exceptional faculty serve as personal advisors to Conservatory students and help them navigate the extensive offerings of courses and other COA opportunities to design the best educational path for each student. With unmatched resources and talented faculty, the Conservatory fosters an environment where students discover and master their unique talents in preparation for admission to internationally renowned collegiate institutions and conservatories.
The Conservatory was created to provide individualized, advanced training for fine and performing arts students, though excellent training in state-of-the-art facilities is extended to all VCHS students. Any student may discover his/her God-given talents through full participation in Conservatory classes while fulfilling the fine arts requirement for graduation.
VCHS is known for our exceptional facilities and cutting edge programs. However, these resources would be meaningless without the extraordinary faculty who pour themselves into the lives of our incredible young Warriors. We are blessed to attract faculty who have learned from some of the brightest minds in their fields and who use that level of knowledge, expertise, and innovation to inspire the great thinkers of tomorrow. As a community, we believe that the best educators are lifelong learners, so we are committed to continuing professional development in educational best practices. As such, we are proud to say that 50% of VCHS teachers currently hold a master's degree, and 7% have a Ph.D.
Our faculty members understand that Christian education is not just a career. It is a calling. They realize the distinct privilege they have in fostering their students' spiritual growth and take very seriously their role in helping young people discover their God-given potential. VCHS teachers integrate a biblical perspective into their standards-based curriculum, and also serve as Prayer Warriors, praying for a specific group of students by name throughout the year. The combination of our teachers' professional experience, educational training, and spiritual passion is what enables Valley Christian's Quest to produce lives of influence.
