Established in 1972 by The University of Texas System Board of Regents, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) are Houston's Health University and Texas' resource for health care education, innovation, scientific discovery, and excellence in patient care. The most comprehensive academic health center in the U.T. System and the U.S. Gulf Coast region, UTHealth is home to biomedical informatics, biomedical sciences, dentistry, nursing, and public health and the John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Medical School.
UTHealth includes The University of Texas Harris County Psychiatric Center and the growing clinical practices of U.T. Physicians, UT Dentists, and U.T. Health Services. The university's primary teaching hospitals are Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, and Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.

The mission of Student Financial Services is to provide our customers the financial resources necessary to attend The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center School of Health Professions (UTMDACC), and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler (UTHealth Northeast) promptly and professionally.
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is the internal institutional resource that facilitates and oversees the lawful immigration status of foreign nationals non- U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents who join the academic, research, and clinical endeavors of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, while ensuring institutional compliance with state, local, and federal laws and regulations.

The Denton A. Cooley, MD and Ralph C. Cooley, DDS University Life Center serves as a multi-purpose venue for UTHealth faculty, students, and staff, the institutions of the Texas Medical Center, and the Houston community at large. The center is available for university gatherings, professional conferences, continuing education courses, distance learning programs, and other special events.
The Cooley Center offers state-of-the-art technology, including wireless connectivity, advanced video and sound systems, teleconferencing and distance learning capabilities, and on-site technical support. Other features include a warming kitchen for catering services, convenient parking, a covered outdoor patio, and an open landscaped courtyard.
The SIC scholarship will be awarded to individuals who have stellar academics and academic achievements. Academics at UTHealth include one's performance and participation in the classroom and one's activity in mentoring and teaching others and research and the drive to learn new things. The Scholarship Committee of the Student InterCouncil (SIC) will accept applications from eligible students from all six schools of UTHealth. Recipient(s) will be selected and represent their school, and this scholarship for one full academic year. The committee will support each student's academic goals by providing a scholarship for $1,000.00 for the academic year in which they are chosen.
The Student InterCouncil honors his memory by awarding an individual who demonstrates the qualities, passion, drive, selflessness, and love for humanity with the Toshi Nikaidoh Service Award. A scholarship for $1,000.00 will be awarded in the academic year in which the recipient is selected.
The Student InterCouncil at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) is your institutional student governance organization. We are responsible for planning mixers, allocating money to fund projects proposed by registered student organizations, awarding a scholarship to deserving UTHealth students, giving feedback to the administration, and, most of all, serving as representatives for the students here at UTHealth. The SIC is comprised of 24 student representatives -- three from each of our six schools, three international students, and three students from underrepresented groups.
