An excellent former high school literature teacher stated, "You must not teach just content, but the values and customs of life. …There are three things that you must transmit: how to love, how to understand which values and customs create harmony in society. ...Teachers must aim to build an educational relationship with each student, who must feel welcomed and loved for what he or she is with all of their limitations and potential." That former high school teacher now goes by the name of Pope Francis. May his words and actions continue to inspire each one of us.
Judge Memorial Catholic High School's mission is to create a community through faith and education that will foster the development of each student's inherent gifts. As a community based on faith, Judge Memorial Catholic High School partners with parents to foster the integration of student's spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development. Judge Memorial Catholic High School's curriculum is college preparatory and includes accelerated programs consisting of Honors and Advanced Placement courses. Theology, English, fine arts, mathematics, science, social students, and world languages form the core. The academic departments offer an extensive array of curricular options and levels appropriate for each learner. The wide variety of courses emphasizes critical thinking, communication, and technology integration with content that prompts analysis, examination, writing, and discussion.
Our curriculum and instructional practices are reviewed regularly to ensure that what we provide to our students is the best in the Intermountain West, the United States, and worldwide. We are committed to providing academic opportunities that are rigorous and relevant to help our students achieve their dreams.
We know that expectations are high in everything at Judge –activities, athletics, the arts – but perhaps nowhere more so than academics. Judge Memorial fosters each individual's excellence.
