Welcome to Salalah International School. Salalah International School (SIS) is the first independent international co-educational school located in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, Sultanate of Oman under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, Oman. SIS is privately owned and operated by an independent Board. The school is a registered Cambridge International School and a full-fledged member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), Netherland.

Curriculum and learning

Salalah International School provides a comprehensive schooling program for 3 to 18-year-olds, focusing on the holistic development of every child. In the early years of schooling, we follow an internationally accepted Developmental Cycle oriented, concept-based curriculum. However, for other levels, the curriculum at Salalah International School is by and large based upon the universally recognized and welcomed study programs offered by the Cambridge International Examinations, UK and for selected subjects, the National Curriculum of the Sultanate of Oman is being followed.

This International education program ensures a smooth transition through the years of schooling starting with Cambridge Primary, Checkpoint and moving through to IGCSE, AS, and A-Levels in the senior years, and provides the opportunity for students to succeed in a stimulating, externally validated, and highly respected world-renowned educational program. Ultimately, the qualifications which can be obtained by our senior students with Cambridge Advance Levels will open the doors to prestigious Universities across the world.

Early Years- the Foundation Stage (Ages 3 to 5). The curriculum of the Early Years is based on the seven important and inter-connected areas of Learning and Development. Each of these is crucial for igniting the children's curiosity and enthusiasm, for building their capacity to learn, for strengthening relationships, and for growing into a positive personality.
