Integrated Modern School (IMS) opened its doors in September 2012. IMS as a subsidiary of Modern Schools Group was established in 1970 to meet the demand for Egyptians and residents of Egypt by providing nationally recognized degrees, with the highest standards. Modern School Group is an educational organization consisting of several schools distinguished by a unique system of education that allows students to learn perfectly The first School of Modern School was founded in Ain-shams, Cairo in 1970, it started an expansion program for education.
IMS Group of schools is located in different areas in Cairo such as Ein-Shams, El-Maadi, Heliopolis, Al-Shorouq, and other areas. IMS School is in the El-Maadi district, the facility is an enclosed area of approximately 5,000 square meters, located in a quiet area conducive to the learning process.
The focus of the instructional program includes literacy, numeracy, science, and technology. The physical, emotional, social, and meta-cognitive development of students is a key aspect of our balanced program. IMS is designed to support students who wish to pursue the best academic program. IMS board provides expertise in the modifications and additions to the facility to ensure that IMS is a world-class school. The IMS board assisted in the initial recruitment of the school’s administrative and teaching staff.
The IMS teaching staff is comprised of American, Canadian teachers, and Egyptian trained and experienced in delivering the education program and utilizing the best proven Semi-International teaching methodology. The Arabic and Religion programs are taught by highly qualified and experienced Egyptian teachers.
English is the language of instruction. Arabic, Religion, and Social Studies are taught as requirements, from Kindergarten to the end of Grade Twelve. French or German is taught as a second language from Kindergarten to the end of high school years.
IMS’s curriculums are designed to equip students with the knowledge, practical skills, and maturity required in the workforce. The priority at IMS is high-quality teaching and learning. Through an innovative curriculum, excellent resources, highly qualified and dedicated teachers, each student's learning style is catered for. Each student is strongly supported in their learning. Simultaneously, the students are encouraged in other areas of their learning, including music, debating, drama, sport, personal development, and community service.
Integrated Modern School, in association with its international affiliates, adopted certain aspects of its curriculum more in line with the international standards. Students also visit industry and business workplaces to observe and learn about industry and business operations on site, and all students complete a work placement project to learn how to apply their skills in the workplace.
