Commecs Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences (CIBES) is a Degree Awarding Institution sponsored by the CET - Commecs Educational Trust. The Trust was established by the COMMECS - the Alumni Association of the Government College of Commerce and Economics. Trust is a not-for-profit organization, certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) for quality standards in education. The founders envisioned the institute for bringing in a quantum change in the country's present education system.
CIBES was the first institute in Pakistan to get a BBA Program affiliation from IBA - the Institute of Business Administration Karachi in the Year 1995. This reflected the confidence and Trust of IBA Karachi in the quality of business education provided at CIBES.
During its decade long healthy affiliation with IBA' CIBES offered BBA (Pass), BBA (Hons.), and BBA (4 Years) Program. It is graduates serving at organizations like SIEMENS, ABN Amro Bank, P&G, Unilever, Standard Chartered Bank, MCB, HBL, Citi Bank, Shell Pakistan, GlaxoSmithKline, KPMG, Maerskline Shipping, KPMG (UK), Ernst & Young (UK and Dubai), HSBC (Pakistan), etc.
CIBES draws its strength from 15 years of rich experience of providing education at the tertiary level and 14 years of healthy affiliation with IBA Karachi for the BBA program offering specialization courses in Finance and Marketing.
CIBES, through the pursuit of sustained excellence in a vibrant, innovative, and evolving system of quality education, will focus on inculcating ethical perspectives and professional competence in leaders of tomorrow.

To catalyze inter-disciplinary participation and exposure to social sciences learning in all disciplines, thereby ensuring the development of a 'well-rounded' personality. To reward and recognize students and staff of the institution by encouraging sustained career development and providing them facilities and support to pursue research and forge links with the wider academic world, leading to the strengthening of individual and group learning and disseminating knowledge in society.
