Our elementary school offers a fully bilingual program. Students follow the curriculum in English and French on alternate days. In addition to standard subjects, Art, Music, and Physical Education are taught by specialists every week. Our High School Sector offers a varied and challenging bilingual program from Secondary 1 to Secondary 5. Our students receive excellent preparation for their High School leaving exams, enabling them to graduate with a High School Diploma (the Diplôme d’Études Secondaires) accredited by the Quebec Ministry of Education (MÉES).

Emmanuel High School first opened its doors to 38 students enrolled in Grades 7 and 8 in September 1975. The school was located in the former Surrey Gardens Elementary School, which belonged to the then Protestant School Board of Montreal. An additional grade was formed and admitted each consecutive year until the first year of graduates obtained their diplomas in 1979.
Once the High School was established, parents began to ask for the elementary grades to be added. In September 1982 a Kindergarten and Grades 1 and 2 classes became available, followed by Grades 3 and 4 in September 1982. Grades 5 and 6 were added in September 1983 until a whole school, from Kindergarten through to Secondary five, was formed.
In 1991, the school moved out of the premises it had rented for 16 years in Dorval in search of a permanent location. For two years, the school was located in temporary quarters on Gouin Boulevard in Pierrefonds. Finally, in 1993, Emmanuel Christian School found a suitable new home for its vibrant school community. After many renovations and much anticipation, the school moved in, appropriately, on Thanksgiving weekend into its current building on Boulevard St-Jean in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
The school proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2005, and in 2009 a new French High School sector catering for students in Secondary 1 and 2 classes was added. New grades were added annually, and the French sector was completed in 2012. Our first French sector graduates received their High School diplomas in June 2013.
Fall 2015 marked the 40th anniversary of Emmanuel Christian School. We celebrated forty years of quality, Christ-centered education enjoyed by generations of students past and present. As we look back at our history and all the accomplishments so far, we also eagerly anticipate the exciting journey ahead. We aim to continue providing excellent academics and opportunities for spiritual growth to generations of students to come. We hope to achieve this goal through our continuous commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence in everything that we do.

The High School offers a challenging bilingual program from Secondary 1 (Grade 7) to Secondary 5 (Grade 11). Our students graduate with a High School diploma accredited by the Quebec Ministry of Education. Our educational program encompasses excellent academics and meaningful opportunities for spiritual growth to equip our students to become well-balanced, confident, independent, tolerant, and adaptable individuals.
Students enjoy a curriculum that is well planned, wide-ranging, and enriching, together with an outstanding variety of extra-curricular activities and sports such as Basketball, Badminton, Curling, Indoor & Outdoor Soccer, Track & Field, Floor Hockey as well as a new Ice Hockey club. The program is delivered by well-qualified and enthusiastic staff. The English High School is committed to offering balanced education that is academically and spiritually stimulating and suitable for students of all ages, aptitudes, and interests.
Our students grow to become intellectually curious, analytical, and reflective learners. They develop into principled, tolerant, and supportive community members and active contributors to society. Students are given opportunities to perform at concerts or special activities and use their talents and develop poise and confidence. Field trips are an essential part of the curriculum and take place throughout the year to various interest points depending on the grade level. The Physical Education department organizes a Field day in June as part of the program.

Our bilingual elementary and high school sectors prepare students for higher education and life as responsible adults with a sense of serving and getting involved in their communities. Starting in Kindergarten, we prepare our students to speak in front of an audience through Show & Tells, presentations, and eventually high school French and English Public Speaking competitions.
Our students have the opportunity to participate in Science Fairs, Sports tournaments, and Writing contests. We have won banners in Badminton, Basketball, and Soccer. Our high school Mission program enables our Secondary three students to serve in local Christian ministries or go abroad on an international mission trip. We follow the accredited Quebec Ministry of Education (MEES) curriculum that leads to a Secondary Leaving Diploma.
Our graduation rate is well above the provincial average at over 90%, and we regularly have students who score 100% in provincial exams. Our graduates go on to well-known universities in all fields ranging from Liberal Arts to Business, Engineering or Medicine. We are proud of our former students who are now actively involved members of their churches and local communities. Missions are an integral part of Emmanuel Christian School's Secondary 3 (Grade 9) program. Students chose to participate in either the local or international mission held annually in the spring. Students learn to be the hands and feet of Christ by serving, sharing the Good News, and learning more about God and the community they are serving. Our local mission team partners with Youth Unlimited Montreal. It supports several local missions in the greater Montreal area providing food for the homeless, working with local charities such as Welcome Hall Mission and Moisson Montréal, and other community projects.
