Education is conducted according to the license and State accreditation in the following specialties: general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing. Theoretical studies are carried out in 3 educational buildings of the University. Four hundred twenty-seven tutors teach students from all Far East regions. Two corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 9 Honorary doctors, 64 Doctors of medicine, 259 tutors with an academic degree are. The education is based on the educational programs of medical specialties according to State medical standards' requirements.
The Far-Eastern State Medical Library, which contains 610 744 copies, including 222 217 scientific literature and 24 069 ones of foreign literature, is in the University. Sixty-one departments of the University are equipped with personal computers. A single computer network, including more than 500 computers, is created. The students & tutors can receive necessary information from the Internet and work at the computers in one of the nine equipped computer classrooms. Thirty-two substructures of the University provide qualitative education, scientific work, and students & tutors' everyday lives. Students & doctors studying at the University live in 3 comfortable dormitories in the center of Khabarovsk.
After graduating from the University, the education continues in a one-year internship in 21 specialties and two-years clinical residency in 64 specialties. Education in post-graduate courses is conducted in 24 specialties. More than 3 000 specialists of healthcare annually raise their qualification on a base of the University in the following primary specialties: general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, 'physiotherapy, sports medicine, reflex therapy.
