More than 90 percent of our students receive financial assistance. Providing students with workable packages of merit scholarships and grants, loans, and campus jobs is the highest priority of our Financial Aid office. To demonstrate financial need, required forms, especially the FAFSA, must be filed on time. With a tour and information session, you will learn about the many academic options and campus opportunities to help you achieve your educational goals.
At Keene State College, we like to give special attention to those thinking about starting or completing a degree. We know your experience and your goals may be different from an 18-year-old’s, so we offer one-to-one advising and an expanded series of resources to ensure that your educational experience with us takes you wherever you want to go.
A transfer student is any applicant who has ever applied to and been enrolled at any post-secondary college or university. Even if you took only one course or did not complete a semester, you are considered a transfer student. You are not considered a transfer student if you have not been admitted or enrolled in a college or university after graduating high school, even if you have earned Advanced Placement credits, International Baccalaureate credits, or Running Start credits (college credit earned while in high school).
Continuing Education students are people just like you, with lives revolving around home, career, and community. Our programs are flexible to accommodate busy schedules, and we offer courses and academic programs in an array of subjects for learners of all ages. Keene State extends its leadership in Education and Safety Studies:

Earn an M.Ed. in four specialty areas with 16 certification options to meet a wide variety of interests. Students conduct practical and individually tailored research, mentored by top faculty with face-to-face instruction. Keene State College’s graduate program in safety and occupational health applied sciences provides a dynamic learning experience for occupational safety and health professionals seeking advanced study in the profession. Keene State’s online format ensures that students can achieve their goals while balancing busy schedules and commitments.
The Post-Bachelor’s teacher certification program is a non-degree program culminates in certification by the N.H. Dept. of Education. Students can choose from 16 subject areas that tailor a wide variety of interests to certification. Now is an excellent time to apply for all of our programs. We review applications on a first-come, first-served basis, and as soon as you complete your application, we can begin working with you. Recommendations, transcripts, essay, and test scores can be submitted separately.

The Integrative Studies Program (ISP) is the catalyst for developing these crucial skills.
Peer-Led Learning is a community of academic support services and resources provided by students for students. Many options for free tutoring are available to help with daily academic needs. Taking advantage of these options can help students achieve their academic goals.
Keene State is a place for students to live and learn together – an environment designed to foster conversation, collaboration, critical thinking, and decision-making that results from thorough and honest exchanges between students and faculty. Education at Keene State does not happen only in the classroom – often, it is extra-curricular experiences that set a student on the path to a rewarding discovery or occupation.
The campus itself – called “a hidden jewel of higher education” by a recent visitor – is the setting for that process of discovery. And it is a beautiful campus by any standard: 170 landscaped acres, ivy-covered brick buildings, science labs, and dance studios and Student Center humming with activity and purpose. More than beauty draws 5,000 students here. However – it is the opportunity to develop their talents, harness their collective energy, and make a difference in the world.
