Sanford-Brown and the International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT) are now one bigger, even better college—Sanford-Brown. By combining our two institutions' strengths, we will better cater to the diverse needs and interests of students and prospective employers across four schools of study: Design, Technology, Business, and Health. As before, we will remain focused on providing a dynamic and supportive environment where students can get the support they need for the success they want.

At IADT-Chicago, we're focused on preparing students with the education and confidence they need to pursue their potential in dynamic fields like fashion design, information technology, game design, video and animation production, multimedia and web design, and computer forensics. We train students to become creative problem-solvers with an industry-current understanding of how things work today and the foresight to imagine tomorrow's possibilities.
Located in the heart of the bustle of Chicago's famed State Street, IADT-Chicago's facilities include lecture rooms, drafting labs, design studios, sewing, and pattern-making rooms, and computer labs. Students also can combine on-campus classes with online courses delivered by IADT-Online as part of IADT's blended learning option.

IADT Chicago provides library and information resources for students and faculty that support the institution's academic programs. IADT maintains a library that houses a growing collection of approximately 5,500 book volumes and 90 periodical subscriptions to support the practical programs of study and general education courses.
Our library's multimedia resources consist of over 500 videos, DVDs, and CDs. We also have a campus bookstore that sells books and supplies used in the courses taught at IADT and a variety of IADT merchandise. The bookstore attempts to keep a balance of inventory between new and used books whenever possible. The bookstore also coordinates book buy-back periods at the end of each term.
The CECybrary is an Internet-accessible information center committed to facilitating the Career Education Corporation (CEC) community's lifelong learning and achievement. This "virtual library" contains a collection of full-text journals, books, and reference materials links to websites relevant to each curricular area, instructional guides for using electronic library resources, and much more.
The "virtual" collection is carefully selected to support students as they advance through their study programs and include quality, full-text, peer-reviewed articles from scholarly journals and full-text electronic books. Instructional materials for students and faculty are designed to enhance information literacy skills.
IADT Chicago has contracted with RnR Real Estate Marketing to assist students with affordable and adequate housing. Most of these apartments accommodate four students with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. All apartments are furnished and include utility costs in the rent.
