Leeds City College is one of the largest Further Education institutions in the country. It operates out of three main campuses – Park Lane, Technology and Printworks – as well as having provisions in smaller community centers across Leeds. It has 1,267 members of staff, over 20,000 students, and is one of the biggest providers of apprenticeships nationally. Keighley College and Leeds College of Music are also part of the Leeds City College Group.
The College provides a vibrant, multicultural learning environment, delivering excellent and innovative education that is supportive, inspiring, and life-changing. Across the College, there are 127 countries represented by students with the diverse staff population adding to that number!
Our courses cover almost all subject areas and include full and part-time academic and vocational qualifications, from necessary skills to apprenticeships and A levels to foundation degrees. There is something to suit everyone's needs from pre and post 16-year-olds to adult learners, employers, and businesses.
The College strives to meet the needs of local employers continually and provides industry-standard facilities. It prides itself on building relationships with employer organizations, unions, chambers of commerce, awarding bodies, and the local enterprise partnership.
In 2019, Leeds City College will be opening a brand new campus at the heart of the cultural quarter to revolutionize the College's digital, creative arts and health science provisions.
At Leeds City College, we are proud of our community's social and cultural diversity and see it as a strength that inspires innovation and creativity.
We aim to provide a stimulating and enriching educational experience for all of our learners, enabling them to reach their full potential and develop a range of skills in preparation for employment and other opportunities when they leave us.
The College is home to people from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds with diverse beliefs, values, and abilities. We believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect.
In keeping with these principles, we are committed to building inclusive and safe learning and working environment where the values of respect and tolerance are at the heart of college life.
To help us achieve this, we have adopted a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination, bullying, or harassment in our learning or workplace environments.
We are continually striving to move beyond legal compliance towards best practices in promoting and celebrating equality and diversity. We have published a wide range of equality information that outlines how we intend to achieve our goals about inclusion and fairness and how we will drive the equality and diversity agenda forward over the next few years.

In September 2010, Keighley College opened its doors to its first-ever intake of students after two and a half years under construction.
Three years later, in 2013, Leeds City College's brand new Printworks Campus opened on Hunslet Road on the site of the former Alf Cooke Printworks, one of the most recognizable industrial landmarks Leeds.
The College continues to strive towards offering its students enhanced learning environments.
Leeds City College became a legal entity on 1 April 2009 when the corporations of Leeds Thomas Danby College, Leeds College of Technology, and Park Lane College Leeds and Keighley simultaneously dissolved and the new Leeds City College corporation was created.
