There are up to 200 kinds of scholarships provided by TMUST and external organizations. We also have emergency allowances for students who need it. All scholarships are open for both international and domestic students to apply for.
There are around 60 clubs in TMUST, and they could be categorized as academic, recreational, athletic, volunteering, and comprehensive. Through these club activities, students are expected to learn how to work together with other students and thus enhance students' social and adaptive abilities.
On-campus, TMUST has its student cafeteria and convenience store. There are also various food stands, supermarkets, bazaars, department stores, hypermarkets, etc., nearby to meet students' diverse demands.
College of Finance is composed of Master Program of Financial Planning and Tax Management, Department of Accounting Information, Department of Finance and Taxation, Department of Insurance and Financial Management, Department of Finance, and Bachelor Program of Real Estate Investment and Management.
The College of Management comprises the Department of Business Administration, Department of International Trade, Department of Logistics Management, Department of Marketing Management, Department of Applied Foreign Languages, and Department of Chains and Franchising Management. Our college has 21 professional labs, including SPSS professional lab, trade simulation lab, trading business classroom, exhibition professional lab, integrated marketing classroom, future shop, franchising development center, focus study research lab, business administration multimedia room, foreign language testing lab, language lab, multimedia language classroom, simulated reporting lab, and video conference room. The labs are equipped with 43 various management, statistics, trading, and language related software to develop students' professional skills and competitiveness in the workplace. Students will possess independent thinking, problem-solving skills, and international language communication, and group communication skills when they graduate.
As the information industry was growing faster and becoming more prosperous, in order to meet the demands of information talents in the job market, we established an electronic data processing day class when our school was a 5-year junior college in 1989 with a determination to cultivate managerial talents well trained in technology skills and management. Later in 1990, we set up two electronic data processing classes, respectively, in our day and evening schools, and in 1994, the course name was changed into information management. In 2002, our school was transformed into a technology college. Since then, the information management department has been formed, and our technology college also has included a junior college section.
Due to the trend of specialization in the information industry has become more and more prevailing, intelligent systems and digital content related industries also started to emerge in the market. Therefore, we set up the Department of Information Technology and Department of Multi-Media Design in 2003 and 2004. Each department had one class in the day school section of our 4-year college. Later, when our school was transformed into a science and technology university successfully, we established the College of Informatics in 2007. In 2008, we further set up the Graduate Institute of Information Technology and Management. Till then, all these three departments and one graduate institute have made our College of Informatics structure even more complete.
