Magnitogorsk conservatory is one of the best creative institutes of higher education in South Ural. Its history began in 1939 when a potent group of distinguished professionals, musicians came from Moscow to develop musical art in the city. Due to their efforts, Magnitogorsk Musical High School, named after M. I. Glinka, became one of the country's best. Later Musical High School was reformed into Conservatory - one of the first Academy-complex of a new kind, combining all the levels of professional musical education: Musical School-Lyceum, College, Conservatory, Postgraduate Course, Doctorate Course, and Dissertation Council.
Now Magnitogorsk Conservatory keeps to the best traditions of its founders. In the Conservatory, there are three Concert Halls, numerous stage areas.
