At T.I.A.S. School for Business and Society, we operate based on the philosophy that economic success goes hand in hand with social progress. Business is a society, and society is business. You cannot have the one without the other. Businesses, authorities, and society are confronted with devising solutions for the future in a co-creative process. T.I.A.S. facilitates them in their search in this new context.
"At T.I.A.S., we do so by encouraging a critical and inquisitive approach," says Dean and director, Prof. Kees Koedijk. "We have to ask different questions to find out how things are. We search for answers with an impact on organizations, businesses, and society. The new leadership of men and women with a long-term perspective. Professionals who sense what society needs, who want to educate it in that respect, and want to participate in it. And who understand that companies and institutions can only be successful when they also take their role in society instead of merely focusing on profits."
New perspectives do not only demand high-quality education but also high-quality applied research. T.I.A.S. employs approximately 100 professors, all with extensive academic as well as practical experience. They raise new questions in the applied research organized by T.I.A.S. in its LABS. Those are open platforms on which our professors work together with participants and organizations from the private and public sectors.
Tomorrow's complex challenges increasingly demand cooperation between business, authorities, and social organizations. New alliances between businesses and institutions that complement each other develop new ideas and knowledge and generate creativity and distinctiveness. T.I.A.S. has partnerships with a broad range of businesses and institutions in its LABS. Also, we facilitate meetings between very diverse businesses for co-creative idea-sharing and innovation.
We are the business school of Tilburg University and the Eindhoven University of Technology. Both universities have a strong track record in technology, economy, management, and society. Each year, T.I.A.S. attracts 2400 participants from 25 countries with its broad portfolio of M.B.A.s, (executive) Masters, custom programs, master classes, and PhDs. We have been doing so for more than 25 years.
T.I.A.S. School for Business and Society endorses the U.N. Principles for Responsible Management Education (P.R.M.E.). P.R.M.E. is a platform for business schools and management education-related institutions. We are convinced that we can contribute to a more stable and inclusive global market and help build through integrating universal values into our curriculum and research prosperous and thriving societies.
T.I.A.S.
