University Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) is an emerging Islamic university wholly owned and funded by the Malaysian Government. Being the 12th Public Institution of Higher learning aims to spearhead knowledge and be the global reference center for Islamic Science.
USIM adopts a balanced approach between the physical and spiritual aspects, not only in the academic programs offered but is also widely practiced throughout the university, including administration and management levels. Against this backdrop, USIM embraces a holistic approach towards delivering knowledge, which unites revelational sciences (Naqli knowledge) and the rational sciences (Aqli knowledge).
USIM offers a unique model to Islamic Higher Education, setting it apart from other Islamic universities worldwide. The integration of religious sciences and the social and physical sciences in all its programs provides a comprehensive understanding of current global problems. It offers a fresh alternative to solving them.
The education paradigm at USIM is based on the basic principle that integrating religious sciences with social and physical sciences will provide a more comprehensive understanding of current global challenges and offer a fresh alternative in approaching and solving them. This is because of the universal nature of Islamic values. History has proven that these values can be shared by all humankind living together harmoniously with mutual respect and tolerance.
USIM is committed to being excellent in three tracks in terms of its academic programs and research. The tracks are

USIM is a unique public university, offering two major academic programs from various fields that integrate Naqli and Aqli knowledge. It is the university where Islamization of knowledge is addressed in all its academic programs, reviving the Islamic Renaissance.
USIM's academic programs are designed to produce graduates who can meet various industries' demands, knowledgeable, proficient in Arabic and English, and well versed in soft skills.
