Studying at a graduate school aims to acquire the ability to do research and development without help from other people. Accordingly, it is inevitably essential to make a continuous effort to obtain the ability to find creative research themes and to study useful methods for advancing your research in solving difficult problems.
Our university has a Faculty of Engineering with four departments, Faculty of Information Engineering with four departments, and Faculty of Socio-Environmental Studies with one department. We also have the Graduate School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Socio-Environmental Studies on these undergraduate schools.
The Graduate School of Engineering offers seven master's degree programs and two doctoral degree programs. We have day and evening courses, mainly for the convenience of adult students. Our Graduate School of Engineering aims to produce international engineers who will support and develop the future industrial world in the 21st century. We are also promoting international exchanges with Stanford University and other foreign universities.
The Graduate School of Socio-Environmental Studies with one master program on economic management and the law administration has been opened in the 2007 academic year for the university graduates and the adult students, including those from other countries, who are eager to acquire the ability and skill of business for the environmental problem solving, and also to deepen the mutual understanding for an environmental corporation with neighborhood Asian countries. To attain the above aims, our university is making continuous and full efforts to accomplish the goal in each graduate school program.
