The "D. A. Tsenov" Academy of Economics is a leading educational, scientific and cultural institution in the Republic of Bulgaria. It includes four faculties, 18 departments, various scientific research centers, a College of Economics and Management, a Scientific Research Institute, an Academic Library, various departments, and auxiliary units, a university campus.
The Academy employs more than 320 highly-qualified professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and lecturers, teaching more than 10,000 Bulgarian and foreign undergraduate and postgraduate students in full-time, part-time, and distance-learning programs.
The Academy actively participates as a partner of other European universities in various programs of the European Union, in projects of international scientific research funds and inter-university educational networks and international higher education projects.

To preserve and develop the Tsenov Academy's leading position in the market of educational, scientific, and consulting products and services in economics, administration, management, and tourism through investment in the brand as "one of the best higher schools in Bulgaria."
Strategic objectives:
- To permanently raise the academic bar, focusing on up-to-date educational technologies and the school's knowledge in educating "Economists who can…".
- To master the full market potential in education at master's degree level, including educational products in foreign languages.
- To provide the educational process, scientific research, and accommodation facilities with a modern academic infrastructure ensuring access to information resources.
- To manage the scientific and research activities based on academic lecturing and professional education for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- To ensure the sustainable development of academic activities conforming to the European Higher Education Area's standards and the European Research Area.
- To integrate our more than 100 thousand alumni through networks of postgraduate student clubs upholding the Academy's reputation and supporting the academic management's initiatives, plans, programs, and projects.
- To promote Svishtov as an attractive center for organizing and holding national and international scientific forums.
- To adhere to the normative procedures for institutional program accreditation and post-accreditation monitoring and control, aiming to raise the higher school's capacity to a level of 16 thousand undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- To support students' policies and support the students' organizations, sports clubs, tourist society, and art clubs. To fund projects for the sports facilities' renovation, including the tennis courts, the swimming pool, the indoor racing track.
- To provide financial support for the higher school through successful development of projects financed by operative programs, the national "Scientific Research" fund of MEYS, etc.
