Training for Learning Co commenced in July 1995. It was named Training for Learning Co to endorse the belief that training must offer the growth factor of learning to be valuable to the individual and the client organization. The company is affectionately referred to as TLC, and the team ensures that TLC is observed in their facilitation.
TLC has delivered Retail, Beauty, and Security qualifications for a range of client businesses. In 2008 TLC moved the focus to general management training across the broad spectrum of business operations. TLC had been delivering to their business clients since 1995. This meant that Supervisors, Managers, and Business owners could undertake training and build a range of recognized skills to run their operations better and receive recognized qualifications in Frontline Management at the same time.
Another division, the Career Centre, was started in 1997 to assist graduates and clients with developing their portfolios. TLC now works with individuals, business clients, and government departments, developing resumes, applications and providing interview coaching to complete the cycle of career development. TLC has recently published a second edition of the Career Series booklets, which were released in 1998 to assist school leavers with the development of the profile folders
Emphasis is placed on making the training dynamic, fun, and innovative. We have carefully chosen trainers who are excellent communicators and who have demonstrated success in their industry fields. Equal importance is given to practical application as well as the necessary theory. Training with us is very much "hands-on." We value 'student-centered learning. Our trainers recognize the life experiences and skills that each participant brings to the training room. Everyone is invited to contribute. Our trainers build bridges with the participants. Training is personalized to maximize the learning process best. Case studies, exercises, and course materials are carefully designed to meet the needs of each client.
