- Willowtown community primary school was established in its current purpose-built building in January 2007 from the original adjacent school buildings which opened in 1908. We now have upwards of 440 learners coming through our gates each day. It took several years for the building to become a reality and our school has been built on a successful past. We have traveled from a tie when knowledge was power to a present and future where children are empowered to think for themselves to become more independent to lead their learning to make an informed choice and above all to become more emotionally intelligent citizens. We all share the same mission and vision. We are the vibrant beating heart of our community and we believe that our children will achieve as well as or better than children anywhere. With the right support and encouragement from our hard-working and talented staff, our supportive parents and governors working and talented staff our supportive parents and governors working together we will enable our young children to succeed. Choosing the right school for your child is vitally important. We all want the very best education for our children, but we also want our children to be safe, happy, and confident. We believe we offer all these things at willow town. As we drive ourselves to push for ever better academic results we are equally proud and mindful of the great emphasis we place on the children's wellbeing and how we can support them to grow socially and emotionally as confident future citizens of our community and country. We are immensely proud of our community and the role we play within it. Willowtown and add vale are synonymous with a vastly rich social and cultural history of which we strive to make all of our children aware. Our community and its history are at the heart of the curriculum the school has begun writing across the course of the academic year and now more than ever are the time to remind our learners of the proud working backgrounds and traditions from which they come. Education is how we can change society for the better. By equipping our children with ambitious aspirations and hopes for a better future we aim to set them on the road to making this community a better place in which to live and work for future generations.
