  1. Vicar’s Green Primary School is an outstanding school with a 52 place Nursery and two form schools up to and including Year 5 and one Year 6 class. Our 1930's original building has recently been completely refurbished and has had a modern extension providing us with dedicated music and art rooms and a second hall. We are fortunate to still have lots of green space with a MUGA, three playgrounds, an orchard, an outdoor classroom, and a growing area with raised vegetable plots. Our teaching staff, support staff, and governors work in partnership with parents and carers and the wider community to ensure the success of our pupils and provide a safe and happy environment where they can achieve their full potential. Our school motto written by our pupils is: Believe Achieve Succeed. We celebrate and learn about a different value each month. Our values are displayed on the Vicar's Green Values Tree on a display board in the school. Our values include Freedom, Respect, Responsibility, Team Work, Empathy, Perseverance, Equality, Tolerance, Honesty, Compassion, Courage, and Peace. By The Department for Education, we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races, and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law. The Key Values are: Democracy Rule of law Individual liberty Mutual respect Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs Our newly formed Friends of Vicar's Green group is being led by Mrs. E Balodimou one of our Parent Governors. Everyone is automatically a member but if you want to join in with the small group of parents and carers who have joined together with Mrs. Balodimou to organize events for the children please contact the school. Our annual parent survey was sent out in December 2017 to all our parents and carers. The response was good, we received 167 completed questionnaires. From the whole school responses received we have been able to extract data showing the results specifically received from families who have children with special educational needs. View full school
