Seminole State offers bachelor's degrees, associate in arts/science degrees, and vocational certificates in many career fields. We also offer 39 online degree and certificate programs. What started in 1966 as a few portable classrooms huddled in a former citrus grove is now Seminole State College of Florida with six sites spanning Seminole County and enrollment near 30,000. At times during the semester, a student may experience an unexpected crisis or event. Seminole State College provides appropriate referrals to students who have personal issues that impact academic pursuits at college. Many of today's high-paying and in-demand careers do not require a college degree. Seminole State's career certificates programs blend classroom instruction and practical, real-world training, often in the actual work environment. Certificates are an excellent option for those looking for a fast-track approach to a new career or way to specialize in an existing career. In many cases, you can also apply for credits from the certificate toward an Associate in Science (A.S.) or a bachelor's degree at Seminole State. Seminole State's University Transfer Programs prepare students to transfer as a junior to a college or university or continue their four-year degree at Seminole State. Students who complete the program earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree.
