      1. Salisbury school is housed in a Victorian building full of history and character. Our community is rich in culture and diversity where everyone feels comfortable, valued, and important. We provide enjoyable continued learning for pupils, staff, and parents. Our motto is simple: “Enjoy, achieve, be healthy and happy during this phase of your learning whilst preparing for your future education.” As a school, we will effectively build a calm, caring, stimulating, organized learning environment that promotes, inspires, and celebrates the cultural diversity reflected in our school community. We aim to accomplish this by: Encouraging children, staff, and parents to draw upon their life experiences and thereby sharing these with others. Providing a progressive and socially inclusive school within the community. Planning a broad and balanced curriculum that reflects changes in education and society and meets the individual needs of our children. Promoting high self-esteem, respect, and teamwork through effective partnerships. Equipping children to reach their maximum potential by encouraging self-motivation and self-progression. Fostering an ethos that reflects a happy, friendly, and positive learning environment for all pupils, staff, and parents. Salisbury Primary School is inclusive and aims to meet the needs of every pupil. We recognize the importance of quality teaching and that some pupils will, at some stage, require a more personalized approach to enable them to meet their potential. We want our school to be a safe, secure, and happy environment where children feel valued and can access a balanced, relevant, and stimulating curriculum. We value our relationship with other local schools and work together to provide the best possible outcomes for the children and young people in that partnership. We will work within the requirements of the latest SEN Code of Practice. We believe that home and school should work together in partnership to provide the best possible outcomes for each child. Parents and carers are encouraged to take an active involvement in school life, for example, supporting home learning, attending meetings, coffee mornings, and helping out with events and activities. We ask parents and carers to share relevant information from home with us and we aim to provide information about each child that is helpful and clear. This will include regular progress reports, access to support from other professionals e.g. School Nurse, Family Support Worker, and information relating to individual plans. Through our curriculum, extra-curricular activities, teaching, and learning, Salisbury Primary School will promote British values. By doing so, we will ensure that all learners understand the values that have traditionally underpinned British society. The teaching of these values will promote cohesiveness within our school and community. We will prepare pupils for life in England where the population has an increasingly rich diversity of backgrounds, origins, beliefs, and cultures by promoting the values on which our society has been built. By teaching pupils these values we will help all to become good citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Through our work and partnerships, pupils will gain a good understanding of the values that underpin the privileges, rights, responsibilities, and duties of citizenship. We will equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to make a positive contribution to the harmony of our local and national community. We will develop responsible young people who support and positively value community cohesion. This policy will make a key contribution to the school’s positive ethos. The headteacher and Governing Body will assess the impact of this policy and monitor its operation. It should be viewed in conjunction with the school’s other policies especially the Race and Equality Policy. Equal Opportunities Policy, Citizenship Policy, and Behaviour Policy. View full school
      2. ‘Warm’, ‘caring’, ‘happy’ – these are the three most popular words used by parents to describe Salisbury Cathedral School (SCS). Our unique setting, adjacent to one of England’s finest cathedrals, helps to cultivate a strong spiritual awareness and Christian values underpin everything that we do. We believe a child’s self-esteem is vital to their success. At SCS, we foster an unpressured environment where pupils are encouraged and congratulated every step of the way, celebrating their achievements and promoting a strong sense of self-worth. Our focus on the individual child means that all staff plays a role in discovering strengths and areas that need guidance and support. This approach works. Our academic results are impressive and consistently out-perform competing schools but, more than this, the children who leave us are confident, self-assured, well-rounded, and comfortable in their skins. Music is at the heart of SCS and is undoubtedly one of our major strengths. The school educates the boy and girl choristers of Salisbury Cathedral and their expertise and skills enrich the lives of all members of our community. All children are encouraged to play an instrument and the wide range of ensembles, both choral and instrumental, is outstanding. However, we offer so much more. Whether it is performing ambitious drama productions, winning regional science competitions and national sporting accolades, writing inspiring poetry or creating beautiful metalwork, pottery, and art, we feel we have something to bring out every child’s talents. The best way to appreciate what we can offer your child is to visit us on a normal school day. We would be delighted to show you around. We are intrinsically a part of Salisbury Cathedral and as such our Christian foundation is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in sharing with parents the spiritual, moral, and intellectual development of children, and our Christian community, which welcomes people from all faiths and those with no faith, is based on integrity, generosity, and compassion. This ethos underpins the school’s 8 core values of creativity, community, discovery, leadership, resilience, self-discipline, teamwork, and thinking. These form the basis of children’s academic and pastoral development and are values that we hope will continue to be important to children throughout their lives. Our aims are: To provide outstanding teaching where academic, sporting, artistic and musical excellence is sought and celebrated we want all pupils to be encouraged, excited, and challenged through learning. To be an environment where self-esteem and strong friendships are fostered through outstanding pastoral care, and where open and trusting relationships with parents enable each child to flourish as they discover their interests we want to develop children who better understand themselves, others, and the world around us us us them. To be an outstanding choir school, supporting a cathedral choir of international standing, which inspires and provides wide-ranging musical excellence for the benefit of every child. View full school

Each year, students in some 100 organizations perform more than 35,000 hours of volunteer service. Perhaps you have seen them mentoring at local elementary schools, reading to children at the Wicomico Public Library, or assisting with arts events on the Downtown Plaza. SU student organizations have provided support for community members with cognitive disabilities, collected food and clothes for the area's homeless, and taken pets to visit area shut-ins. Likewise, many faculty and staff support community cause personally as well as through campus offices and programs. The more excellent Salisbury and Lower Shore communities have played critical roles in the history and success of Salisbury University. The people, businesses, governments, and civic organizations of the region—our community's pillars—have supported the University with enthusiasm and affection. In turn, SU—its students, faculty, and staff—hold civic engagement and service as key to university education. We are so grateful for our relationships.
