      1. Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences combines a multifaceted and innovative profile with solid regional roots and an international reputation. The close links between the university, industry, and research are a strong focus of ours. Our students discover a practical approach to learning and an ideal learning environment in this network. They acquire team skills and problem-solving expertise. We want to offer you a glimpse of the wide-ranging expertise available here and fill you with enthusiasm for our strengths, our diversity, and, of course, our university. Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences is known for its open and friendly atmosphere. Whether it be the students, the lecturers, or the staff: everyone is very committed to working together to shape the university. Intensive and individual support provided by lecturers, a study in small group settings, application-focused teaching and training, and the interdisciplinary exchange between the subjects and faculties are just some of the many small but significant aspects that characterize everyday student life and the university campus. Added to this are the many well-equipped workshops and laboratories, which offer broad technical and creative scope for course-specific projects in all subjects. Our students gain essential experience that extends far beyond pure specialist knowledge boundaries by taking part in practical projects with partners from diverse industries. From project management to specific research assignments, the concept of theory-practice transfer forms the focus of study at Rosenheim. Learning through actual projects encourages the development of elementary skills like the ability to work in a team and solve problems and prepare students for real working life challenges in the best possible way. Rosenheim has a long tradition of inspirational, innovative strength and a reliable market-oriented practical connection. As the number one university partner in one of Europe’s most vital economic areas, our students have the best regional, national, and international links with industry and research. Through study projects, theses, executive education programs, and applied research, we work intensively with industry, including small and medium-sized companies, and act as a forum, initiator, partner, and catalyst for positive economic development within the region and beyond. Beautiful Bavaria - situated between Inntal and Chiemsee, Rosenheim is a picturesque city that charms inhabitants and visitors alike with its southern flair and Alpine appeal. The impressive Alpine panorama and nearby mountains and lakes are home to all manner of sporting and leisure activities throughout the year, which provides for a very high standard of living for Rosenheim’s students. The University Board of Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences is made up of a full-time Chairperson - the President - and currently two other members – a Vice President and the Chancellor. The University Board runs its day-to-day business and decides how to distribute its allocated positions and funds. The organization and duties of the University Board and its members are laid down in the Bavarian Higher Education Act (Bayerisches Hochschulgesetz). The Computer Centre is a central facility open to all university members offering a broad range of university-wide services relating to all aspects of IT. It supports both the end-user in his/her use of various online services and the university administration and faculties by providing them with the required IT functions. Our goal is derived from the university’s guiding principles; our goal is to continuously use new ideas and strategies to continuously improve education and training quality. We have to be imaginative and keen to experiment in order to achieve this goal. All those involved in university life: the students, the lecturers, all the staff at our university develop ideas to improve teaching and studies. High-quality teaching and studies have to be based on the interaction between all those involved. The University Management plays an active part in fulfilling this objective and assists with developing ideas and implementing measures to improve teaching and studies. It is also the university’s concern to regularly analyze and document the quality of teaching and studies and draw conclusions from this regarding quality assurance and quality development. This is not only seen as an obligation (statutory provisions/accountability of universities to the public); it is first and foremost about the university meeting its standards. The motto here is already embodied in the university’s guiding principles: Communication between ourselves and with the outside world is characterized by transparency and openness, participation, and cooperation.
