MRSA was founded in 1931 as Moscow Regional Pedagogical Institute. In the course of its about 85-year history, tens of thousands of qualified specialists who have brought fame to their Alma Mater not only in our country but also far beyond graduated from the University. Today MRSU is a classical university, a modern scientific and academic center. Over 10 500 students and about 400 doctorate students are studying at the 15 faculties and 84 chairs. Our University is a combination of traditions and innovations in higher pedagogical and classical education. Loyalty to the traditions, the ability to respond to the tendencies of the times, and to carry out long-term work allow the University to remain one of the leading higher education institutions in the Moscow Region. The University is continuously developing. The research-to-practice conferences, symposia, seminars, and international congresses held within its walls contribute to the development of contacts between Russian and international partners. Nowadays, MRSU is training students from about 30 countries in the world. Special groups for international students have been opened. For example, "Russian as a foreign language" is an effectively developing educational program. MRSA is actively integrating into the European education system within the Bologna process. Joint-degree programs are being developed. Cooperation is carried out with Germany, France, Czech Republic, Great Britain, China, Finland, Slovak Republic, Turkey, and other countries. Our University is successfully participating in several international education projects, including TEMPUS, ERASMUS. Student's life is the most beautiful time. Under experienced scientists and teachers' guidance, you will be receiving knowledge, carrying out scientific research, participating in youth projects.
