      1. We are Osbaston Church in Wales School, a Voluntary Controlled School set in the border town of Monmouth. The school is located on the Northern side of Monmouth in the suburb of Osbaston, next to the River Monnow. The school is set in very pretty grounds and is a split site, meaning we have separate Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 buildings. Throughout the school day, you will see staff, pupils, and parents walking along the curved connecting pathway. We are a happy and united school community. The primary years of schooling are arguably the most important in your child’s education. As well as laying the foundations for lifelong learning, they are also a time when attitudes and values affecting the whole of later life are formed. At Osbaston Church in Wales School, we aim to provide an environment where positive attitudes are fostered, where your child feels confident and secure, and where independence, self-discipline, and respect for others can develop alongside a balanced range of exciting learning opportunities. Education is a partnership between teachers and parents. We believe that your child’s success is a joint responsibility and we hope that you will share with us in making these years a successful period in your child's life. We operate an ‘open-door policy and my staff and we are always available to discuss any aspect of your child's education. We are committed to providing the best possible education for our children within the context of Christian belief and practice so that each child can achieve his or her full potential. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning through exploration and discovery, nurturing together a sense of value, respect, and belief. We aim to inspire, create a love of learning, Encourage pupils to have high expectations of themselves and others (think big, aim high), Discover.
