      1. Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) has established itself in arts, design, and media education for over 170 years. But while our history can be traced back to 1845, our outlook is forward-thinking. From a city-center campus that boasts cutting-edge facilities to an approach to teaching, which saw us awarded Gold under the Teaching Excellence Framework and ranked 10th in the UK for teaching quality by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018, our reputation for excellence is well-earned. NUA has thrived as an established University, developing a national reputation as an innovative and creative academic community, with a firm commitment to offering vocational, practice-based courses that afford students space to develop their skills and pursue their passion. At the heart of it all, our students. Artists, designers, makers. Bringing diverse interests and unique perspectives, they share a desire to be challenged and inspired. To learn from the past and shape the future. NUA's mission statement is to be the best specialist University for arts, design, architecture, and media study in Europe, producing graduates of the highest quality and inspiring students and staff to achieve excellence in the creative and cultural spheres. The Norwich School of Design is founded in 1845 by the Norwich School of Painters' artists and followers, the only local British group to establish an international reputation for landscape painting. Quality Assurance Agency checks how UK universities and colleges maintain the standard of their higher education provision. The University was established as an independent higher education institution under Section 121 of the Education Reform Act 1988 and is a recognized body with taught degree awarding powers. The University is regulated by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). We seek to recruit a 0.5 Lecturer to join a dedicated team of academic staff who support the Creative Skillset Ticked accredited BA (Hons) Photography course and MA Photography course with their award-winning students. The courses' focus is personal, professional creativity in which students create highly unique photography they are passionate about combined with an excellent understanding of the potential industry contexts for their work. We seek to appoint a new International Officer to support the delivery of our student recruitment activities across a range of international markets. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and resourceful Business Innovation Manager, who will manage the new Ideas Factory Incubation Centre at NUA and develop and deliver the Entrepreneurship and Employability program. Our IT Services Department is developing a range of online resources. We seek to recruit a Web Services Administrator who will be a crucial part of the Web Services Team delivering these new services.

Whether you want to follow a purely academic route such as A-Levels or focus on developing job-specific skills through a vocational course, I am sure you will find a course here to suit you - and if you cannot find what you are looking for, then please contact me directly – you can do this through our website – and I will see what I can do! Our College has many fantastic new industry-standard facilities. While our College has been around in the city of Norwich for over 125 years, a lot of the buildings and facilities on our main campus have been built or newly refurbished within the last couple of years. Students visit our high-tech StartUp Lounge for a wide range of experience of work activities and inspiring talks and support for employability skills, and more. Creative and performing arts students now have a stunning new, award-winning, Creative Arts Building in which to learn. Our College also has an impressive new green heart, along the newly redeveloped Broadland Drive, which is the hub for a whole range of student-led and College events. Superb facilities would be nothing without superb staff – and we have those too! Professional, friendly, and supportive teachers deliver high-quality teaching and training in a friendly and supportive environment designed to meet your individual needs. We have established ourselves as a progressive college, and our aspirations remain high. Over the last five years, we have developed: Proper responsiveness to the Student Voice through our extensive student representation systems, student governance, and personalized learning model. A critical focus on skills while retaining a broad curriculum, including a range of academic subjects. A new professional learning model focused on applying learned skills within an industry-standard, employer endorsed environment. Innovative ways of adding value to businesses (large and small), through, for example, introducing apprenticeships into workforce development plans and the development of bespoke learning provision tailored to an individual employer’s needs. A comprehensive Quality Framework is integrating both assurance and improvement, centering upon Peer Review. A range of vocational kite marks, including National Awarding Body status, Training Quality Standards (QTS), five National Skills Academies, three Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), and two National Training Awards. Enhanced facilities and resources, including our innovative St Andrews House accommodation. A modernized teaching workforce with new conditions of service. Excellent partnerships with employers, schools, the Education Authority, community organizations, and other local organizations make a difference to the success of The College so that the reputation and influence of The College are evident across the sub-region. Our role as a skills catalyst for the region’s response to globalization is to develop international knowledge-sharing partnerships that provide mutual benefits to our students here and those abroad. So, our College has all its ‘building blocks’ in place. We have made significant progress, but we aspire to some demanding goals. Moreover, we cannot deliver the quality improvements outlined in this document without our staff and our business, education, and community partners. It is now time for us all to grab the future with both hands and transform City College Norwich into one of the best – the best our fantastic students undoubtedly deserve.

      5. For nearly 200 years, Norwich University's guiding values and mission have helped create an atmosphere of excellence. We are the nation's oldest private military college and ROTC's birthplace, serving a diverse student body that reflects the world today. Two-thirds of our residential students join our Corps of Cadets, challenging themselves physically, mentally, and morally to excel as leaders in a structured military-style environment. We also serve civilian residential and commuter students and a sizeable online graduate and continuing-education student body. Norwich faculty and staff challenge all of our students to push themselves academically, socially, and as leaders to realize their full potential. Our graduates build upon their Norwich educations to launch or grow careers and make outsized contributions to their communities, the nation, and the world. Norwich University's campus is nestled in the Green Mountains of central Vermont, USA. Montpelier, the state capital, is about a half-hour drive from the college. Norwich University values and actively supports opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to be globally engaged. We host a diverse student body of international students who come to Norwich to pursue their academic goals. We support our faculty by empowering them to travel, teach, and engage in research overseas to build intercultural proficiency and incorporate international perspectives into their teaching. Norwich students turn their passions and experiences into real-world opportunities, internships, and careers, thanks to one-on-one career advising, academic mentoring, and a network of thousands of alumni and parents ready to offer advice and networking. Norwich's 24,000-plus alumni span the globe, living and leading as entrepreneurs, advancing science and technology, improving communities, and serving our nation's military. Their affinity for Norwich extends to every student and graduate, and they will do all they can to help. Norwich's mission statement is one of the unique statements found in higher education. We know exactly who we are, why we are here, and where we are going. We can be very specific: To give our youth an education that shall be American — to enable them to act as well as to think — to execute as well as to conceive — "to tolerate all opinions when reason is left free to combat them" — to make moral, patriotic, efficient, and useful citizens, and to qualify them for all those high responsibilities resting upon a citizen of this free republic. Norwich is a unique place in the landscape of higher education. Few schools will challenge you as much as Norwich. Fewer yet will give you a high level of academic and leadership experiences you will need to distinguish in a world full of college graduates. If you are an active person who likes a challenge and is not afraid to invest in your future, then this is the place for you. Whether you choose architecture, engineering, nursing, science, communications, or business, you will be immersed in solving real-world challenges where the stakes are high, and the outcomes are rewarding. At Norwich, you'll find students you can relate to, people who think collaboratively and learn more by doing. It's a place where minds come together, but don't have to think alike. Faculty, alumni, and industry mentors join you in the classroom and in the field to fuel interdisciplinary learning and create one-of-a-kind experiences, whether it's providing cybersecurity at Super Bowl 50, interacting with federal law enforcement agencies in Washington, D.C., or problem-solving on a senior engineering project. Inspiring personal achievement and leading a life of meaning is what a Norwich education is all about. See how our dedicated faculty can help you apply your passion to the world's challenges and make good happen. Designed for adult learners, bring confidence to your career goals by completing your bachelor's degree, earning a master's degree, or advancing your skillset with continuing education. All while maintaining your daily responsibilities at work and home. The undergraduate Honors Program supports an enriched academic experience for selected outstanding students, providing a framework to explore the world's most challenging problems through an applied experiential learning process. Financial Aid provides comprehensive information and services regarding options to finance the cost of education at Norwich University. We recognize that financial assistance is key to reaching your educational and career goals. The financial aid staff is dedicated to making the financial aid process as seamless as possible. Our centers of excellence play a distinctive role in our undergraduate and graduate students' experience by focusing on experiential learning beyond the classroom in a variety of co-curricular activities. These centers take an interdisciplinary approach to the world's challenging problems, allowing our students to participate in the solutions. Working side by side, Norwich faculty and students tackle the world's complex problems and explore solutions. From cybersecurity to climate resilience, see how N.U. Research and centers of excellence are making an impact. View full university
