  1. We partner with parents and churches to foster authentic faith characterized by active love and dedication to Christ's teachings. The College has grown into one of the leading independent, co-educational, non-denominational Christian schools in Brisbane's North, offering education from Prep to Year 12. We are a community of people joined by a common faith in Jesus Christ. With this strong foundation, our students graduate from the College confident in their abilities, their purpose, and their identity in Christ. Our educators believe that teaching is not only a profession. It is a ministry. Students thrive under the pastoral care and discipleship of our dedicated teachers, who create an environment of care. Children are valued as individuals with a unique set of God-given gifts and purposes. Over the thirty-four year history, Northside Christian College has grown into one of the leading private, co-educational, non-denominational Christian schools in north Brisbane, offering Christ-centered education from Prep to Year 12. The College is well known and respected for its excellent academic results, commitment to character development, sporting spirit, and passionate community service. We offer opportunities to develop servant hearts from Prep through to Year 12 by understanding mission through service, both locally and overseas. One of the pillars of Northside Christian College is discipleship—older believers inspiring the younger. Teachers invest personal time into students' lives, whether it is coaching the debating team, keeping the art rooms open after hours, attending a Junior School student's soccer match, or tutoring a struggling pupil. Discipleship happens in the classroom as well, where students explore the tenets of the Christian faith. But it does not stop with facts and verses. Northside Christian College challenges its students to put action to their words and beliefs. They are encouraged to live lives that bring glory to God, care for His creation, and spread His love to the people around us. Service opportunities are beautiful experiences for students to grow in their faith and confidence. Junior School children support a World Vision sponsor child. Middle School students visit nursing homes and collect food items and valuable goods for the needy. On Friday evenings, the Senior School Street Ministry Team cooks up a weekly barbecue for the homeless and lonely in Fortitude Valley. The College Chaplain oversees the College's spiritual life, coordinating chapels, staff devotions, and Christian Northside Christian College's vibrant chapels bring worship to the school week. As the students advance through the school, they take on increasing amounts of ownership for the chapels' running. While younger children enjoy age-appropriate songs and lessons, older students contribute as singers, musicians, speakers, and technicians to deliver meaningful worship services through prayerful collaboration. Students experience prayer throughout the day in class and in voluntary lunchtime discipleship groups. The Girls' Verandah and Men's Shed guest speakers inspire and challenge Senior School students.
  2. Welcome to Northside Montessori School. You will find a school community committed to developing the whole child through the Montessori Philosophy from ages 18 months to 12 years. The Northside campus in Pymble is a culturally diverse and non-denominational pre-primary and primary school. In contrast, our other campus, Stepping Stones Montessori Long Day Care at North Turramurra, provides programs for children from 6 months to 5 years of age. At Northside Montessori School, we partner with families to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can be supported as life long learners. While we guide using Montessori approaches and engage your child’s natural desire to learn, our school delivers the NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA) K-6 Curriculum as well as the outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework. Opportunities and educational provisions at Northside go well beyond the mainstream curriculum, and parents can expect extraordinary things from their child due to their experience at our school. The Montessori approach to education has been implemented in schools and pre-schools across the world for over 100 years. This well-researched approach to education implements methods that are still considered ‘progressive,’ and our adherence to the authentic Montessori principles has a powerful impact on children’s learning and development. Within the school environment, individualized and independent learning occurs in mixed-age classes, where the choice of activities, collaborative work, and hands-on experiences are part of everyday learning. These enriching experiences are based on the child’s developmental stage and facilitated by their class Directress. Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions parents will make in the early years of their child’s life. With the formation of the Northside Montessori Society, the purchase of premises at 196 Bobbin Head Road, and the hiring of a directress, two pre-primary classes commenced at ‘Stepping Stones”. The first primary classes were started in 1980, with the full primary program being offered in 1985.
