  1. JMS is a private global school that has one of the lowest teacher-to-student ratios in Jakarta, allowing the school to pay attention to individual students. Like one big family, JMS’s environment prevents bullying from happening. JMS is a bully-free school that provides a friendly learning environment to make students feel encouraged and comfortable socially and psychologically to pursue creativity and excellence. Please arrange a trial day and feel the supportive ambiance. JMS was founded in 1995 under the name of Jakarta International Montessori School. In 2007, it was taken over by PT Daya Multibudaya and the school’s name was changed to Jakarta International Multicultural School (JIMS). On January 26, 2015, JIMS), a Cambridge and IB World School, unveiled a fresh new identity, symbolized by the introduction of a new logo that signifies our culture and celebrates the multicultural identity built over the school’s 10-year history. Now we are known as the Jakarta Multicultural School (JMS). The launch of our new logo kicked off a new spirit at JMS. It speaks of who we are as a global school and reflects the multicultural community we serve – diverse, modern, and global. We are proud to be a part of the evolving education sector in Jakarta, and our new logo will now illustrate how far JMS has come in our 10-year history. We have evolved from a Montessori school to a Cambridge and IB World School, connecting with the diverse cultures of Jakarta’s expatriate and local residences while continuing to embody the spirit, passion, ingenuity, and courage that are the fundamental values of Jakarta culture. JMS is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school as well as a registered Cambridge International Centre (CIC) with the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). Away from busy streets and toll roads, JMS is located on two hectares of land in a secure and green environment that boasts excellent facilities. Taking pride in addressing the growing need for a warm, familiar, and student-oriented place to study, the school has a low teacher-to-student ratio that enables us to pay close attention to the individual needs, learning preferences, and talents of each of our pupils. Students are therefore always challenged and actively engaged. JMS’ students come from diverse nationalities and the PYP, IB DP, and Cambridge curricula help them to develop multicultural awareness and appreciation that enriches their studies and school life. Multiculturalism has been at the heart of JMS since its earliest days, and the school’s motto: ‘Expanding Horizons, Valuing Diversity and Connecting Minds’, not only applies to the students, but also the dedicated team of caring and professional staff. Our teachers are qualified, experienced practitioners from all over the world. To meet the needs of all English levels within our community, we provide intensive courses in our Language Centre with an excellent success rate in equipping students with the skills needed to actively participate in lessons.
