The Centers of Excellence allow where students to pursue a specialized diploma in a specific academic track that includes an internship, and culminates in a yearlong capstone independent study project. The three Centers are Business & Entrepreneurship, Civic Engagement & Service, and Innovation. At Marianapolis, students have 17 competitive athletic options to choose from (such as crew, swimming, field hockey, and basketball) as well as numerous non-competitive options (such as dance, drama, equestrian, and gymnastics). With over 40 clubs and organizations, Marianapolis students have the capability to explore and expand their skills and interests. Students are exposed to numerous leadership opportunities focused on supporting the Marianapolis community and more specifically, the student body. Through leadership roles, students are prepared for life beyond Marianapolis. The mission of Marianapolis Preparatory School is to educate students in the Catholic tradition of academic excellence, with a commitment to an active faith in God and a dedication to building character with content, compassion, and integrity. Inclusive of all faiths, our community believes that spirituality is a foundation for compassionate, generous individuals. Marianapolis fosters among its student's respect for others, appreciation of diversity, and service to all. Values-based education provides relevant, meaningful lessons that impact our students in and out of the classroom. We contemplate global issues with a moral context we weigh fairness and values alongside traditional academic lessons. Here, young women and men extend themselves spiritually and intellectually throughout their daily lives. At Marianapolis, students grow into mature, self-directed adults with vision and purpose. At Marianapolis, the academic curriculum fosters the development of critical and disciplined thinking, precise communication, scientific analysis, creative problem solving, and an understanding of global perspectives. At all grade levels, the curriculum encourages students to think creatively and to articulate ideas effectively. View full school
