      1. At Latymer All Saints our core values of Love, Aspiration, and Service underpin everything that we do. Our Christian ethos is a strength of the school, and was recognized in our Anglican Schools Inspection that “Leaders and Governors have a clear Christian vision for the school and have developed and nurtured a school community that is loving, aspirational and which places service of God and others at its heart”. We are a multi-cultural and multi-faith school, set in the vibrant and diverse area of Edmonton Greene takes pride in our many achievements including our recent Primary Science Gold Quality Mark and Gold Award for Sustainable travel. Our children are supported by a committed and talented staff that work hard to ensure each child progresses well and achieves their full potential. As a school, we are fully committed to a growth mindset culture and endeavor to develop a love of learning in all members of our school community. We believe in working in partnership with our families to ensure our children achieve well so we run a range of support workshops for parents throughout the year and our Parent Support Adviser is always on hand to offer help, advice, and support. We also have a CELTA-trained member of staff who can offer classes teaching English as an additional language to parents and carers. At Latymer All Saints we take a cross-curricular approach to learning. Where learning in different subjects is linked, it will have more meaning for the children and this improves learning. We offer a range of extra-curricular opportunities and our children achieve well in a variety of sporting events. We offer opportunities for children to develop their musical and performance talents and to pursue other interests through activities such as archaeology and art clubs. Our children are well behaved, prompting positive comments from visitors, and they enjoy school. We work hard to develop happy, self-confident, articulate young people who will carry our school values throughout their lives as responsible citizens. At Latymer All Saints we aim to give our children rich opportunities to develop their talents and skills. We nurture their confidence and independence so that they can flourish as responsible citizens who make a positive contribution within our community and beyond. Through our shared values of Love, Aspiration, and Service our children develop socially, morally, and spiritually with a clear sense of their place in God’s world. View full school
      2. The Latymer School is a high achieving, selective grammar school with a great tradition of success we aim to provide a first-class education for all our students. We believe that an outstanding education develops students academically, socially, and morally, giving them the skills to be successful in whatever they do once they have left us. We also feel it is important to develop students outside of the classroom and offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and trips including visits to our residential center in Cwm, Wales. Secondary education represents a major stage in the life of each young person and so we aim to work together with parents, carers, governors, and the local community to support our young people enabling them to develop and grow within this community and in building together a real sense of identity within The Latymer School. Our motto is ‘who endeavors wins’ and that sums up the ethos we wish to build within our school community life is not always straight forward and we encourage our students to persist, to keep trying, and then success will come. The Latymer School aims to provide a broad and stimulating educational experience with very high standards within the formal curriculum while believing that school life should be valued for itself and not only as a preparation for adulthood. The heart of the school's aims is the intellectual, cultural, and social development of all pupils in a context of mutual esteem and sensible good order. There is an outstanding musical tradition that leads to a wide range of music-making, much of it of very high quality, mainly as an extra-curricular activity. Drama, sport, and outdoor pursuits are also very strong. The House system engenders much purposeful activity: inter-House competitions in sport, drama, and music and non-competitive ventures such as fundraising for a wide variety of charities. Our field center in North Wales, owned by the Foundation, is widely used as a base for outdoor pursuits and field courses. Our aim is for each pupil to develop talents and interests to the full while experiencing a broad and balanced curriculum throughout Years 7 to 11. In Years 12 and 13, the curriculum is narrower and academic and prepares pupils for further studies and many different careers. The courses offered at all levels challenge pupils to develop insight and independence of thought and value both sound learning and intellectual rigor. Our courses in Years 7 to 11 comply with the requirements of the National Curriculum. The curriculum is reviewed each year. View full school
